Stone Cottage is a sweet, comfortable, and wonderfully situated place to stay, especially if you are interested in walking in gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. Many treks begin just by walking out the front door! While so close to Haworth as well as the larger metropolitan areas in Calderdale and Kirklees, the cottage provides peace and quiet. The owner is friendly and...

Had a wonderful week at Stone cottage. Pristine cottage with all amenities catered for. Great shower, comfy bed etc.... Situated in Oxenhope which is a lovely quiet village and a great base for exploring Bronte countryside. From Oxenhope we did the Railway children walk to Haworth and on to Oakworth. Fab walk through beautiful hills, woodland, rivers and fields. Went...

My fiance and I stayed in Stone Cottage for three nights during a trip to see all things Bronte-related. The cottage is modern with lovely period touches, and scrupulously clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. I was a bit worried about staying outside Haworth, but I needn't have been. You can take the bus with Oxenhope to Haworth very easily (it...

About the neighbourhood
Surrounded by beautiful moorland, the cottage sits amongst the Bronte Way and the Millennium Way making it an ideal retreat for walkers and cyclists. The bustling Bronte village of Haworth is approximately 2 miles and is easily accessible by car or train from the terminus of the Worth Village railway line in Oxenhope. <BR>From the cottage door, wonderful footpath walks lead into the rolling hills and heather strewn moors which are often referred to as “Bronte Country” and it was this surrounding countryside where the Bronte sisters drew their inspiration for writing. The neighbouring village of Haworth is home of the Bronte Parsonage Museum which stands at the head of the cobbled High Street and was formerly their childhood home, housing a history of their life and works.
