Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Beautiful home
We are just coming to the end of our stay here. It is a beautiful location. Peaceful and the views are outstanding. The house is much bigger than the pictures suggest. There are two bakeries in cycling distance and a few good restaurants in barjac. Well located for visiting local markets and tourist destinations further afield although it's better to stay here than do too much exploring. Lots of nature to explore.

Stunning property, impressive location: a great week
The property was even bigger and more splendid than we'd thought from the photos. Being in easy reach of the Ardeche Gorge to the north, and historic sites such as the Pont du Gard to the south, offered plenty to travel to. Nearer by the Grotte de Salamandre was a 'must', and we particularly enjoyed the river beaches in cycling / walking distance. Henry the owner really made us feel welcome, and speaks excellent English. We would highly recommend staying here.

Spacious, scenic and serene
We had a warm welcome from Henri, the very helpful owner, and a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. A lovely and well modernised farmhouse, with lots of space downstairs gave everyone room to do their own thing. There is a lot to see in the area, from castles to caverns and beautiful hilltop villages. The view from the terrace where we took every meal was a great feature of the stay, too. Count on a short drive to bars and restaurants: better to eat out at lunchtime, and enjoy a peaceful evening meal at the gîte if the driver enjoys a drink. The driveway up to the gîte is quite steep, better to drive up than to walk. We had a great time here in August, our deposit was swiftly repaid and we would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully renovated old house in lovely area.
We all adored this ancient fully modernised former silk farmhouse (I think). It had been beautifully renovated by Henry the owner and was very modern inside with lovely cool floors and every modern convenience you could hope for when self-catering. The weather was scorching and we spent many happy hours on the patio soaking up the sun, reading and walking the short distance to the river to swim. I would gladly have spent all summer here. The area was so beautiful, lots to see and do for adults and teenagers. Henry was a charming host, polite, friendly without being intrusive and quick to sort out a plumbing problem! Thank you so much Henry - we missed the house as soon as we left! Hoping to return soon for a longer stay.
