We stayed in the Swallows when visiting family in Chesterfield. Cutthorpe village has a couple of nice pubs for dinner, and is a good base to visit Chesterfield and the peaks. The house is great, and the grounds are beautiful - us and the family kids loved it. There are several gardens, one with a pond and fruit trees, one...

We stayed for two weeks in Cuttthorpe/Chesterfield and had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and well appointed. Barbara and Allan were helpful in finding our way around. We took day trips to York, Strattford, Liverpool and Warwick. The setting is quite beautiful and a nice break from London. I recommend the cottage highly!
