Villa Indikon is a stunning one bedroom villa with its own pool on the hillside above Trapezaki Beach, under the shadow of Mount Aenos with glorious sea and mountain views from the balconies and terrace. Villa Indikon is smart, light filled and perfect for a couple with a sofa bed in the living area for a child or third person if required. Stylish and modern, there is a mini-market and restaurant close by but a car is definitely useful for visits to the beach and exploring further afield, including the larger resort of Lourdas which is just 3km away. The villa is near to our other one bedroom villa, Villa Terra and behind Villa Aris, a 3 bedroom villa, so ideal for parties travelling together. Worth trying!
It appears that I am the first person to review Villa Indikon, or Villa Ble as it is known locally.
My wife and me stayed one week at the Ionis Hotel in Prestatyn in September 2018, loved the island and decided to come back for two weeks after seeing Jet2 villas offering this great accommodation for about £3000 for early September.
The Villa is as good if not better than the photo images show. Just off a quiet hilly road, near to 3 good restaurants, and a supermarket the property is ideally located. I would stress though, to get the benefits of the island, hire a car. Getting to the capital Argostoli is a must as is Assos, Antisamos, and Fiskardo.
Facilities to cook in the Villa could be better. There’s not a lot of preparation space unless you use the table. Crockery and cutlery are limited. Ideally for 2 persons. A 3rd, even if a child would internally feel very cramped, but outdoor areas and pool are super.
As early September moved into early autumn the winds got up and in the mornings a lot of leaves and foliage lay on the patios. I swept up a few days the brilliant gardener/pool guy wasn’t here, and the pool is self cleaning for debris on the waters surface. The pool guy was great. On a particular morning we went to the beach as the pool was so dirty, but he knowing this came on a day he would not be working at the Villa to clean the pool. On our return our outside area was again pristine. Thank you sir.
Bedding changed Wednesdays and Sundays, but the cleaning service is the worst I’ve ever encountered. 2 extremely lazy individuals, possibly mother and daughter do as little as possible to spend their working days at the 3 villas.
They changed our bedding, and...........not really sure what else they did. On our first Sunday they were at the 3 bedroomed property for 3 hours, argued most of the time, were in ours for 10 minutes and then left. Thanks! I trust Solmar Villas will have a wee word with them, and I am happy to speak to Solmar to discuss.
Initially we had a young cat issue on our arrival. The previous guests had obviously befriended the stray and we had difficulties getting and keeping the flea bitten animal away, but we got there. Please abide by the rules set in the instruction book at the Villa. Mary & Phil Carswell- you are in breach of house rules.
