We appeal to families and groups looking for spacious accommodation close to activities and attractions, in a memorable and unique setting. The accommodation combines original features with modern comforts and a large secluded courtyard for spending quality time with friends and family. We also cater for professionals and contractors for mid-week and staggered bookings. Located in the centre of an historical area close to Edwinstowe, Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and Sherwood Pines, with something for everyone and enough to keep even the most active of people busy, no matter how long your stay, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings while soaking in the hot tub. There are many sites of historical interest, great parks that can be appreciated on foot or bike, attractions for all ages, inns with reputations for great food, and some excellent restaurants. Accommodation comprises a double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, a family bathroom with twin whirlpool bath and twin steam shower enclosure, and a separate bathroom with walk-in shower on the first floor. In total we can comfortably accommodate ten people (plus infant). There is a private courtyard with rattan all-weather furniture to seat up to ten people, and a decked area leading to a premium hot tub, illuminated at night by low-voltage post lights. There are two reception rooms on the ground floor - a dining room with an extendable oak table that seats up to ten people, and a lounge with custom made corner sofa and separate three seater sofa, a wood burning stove, a Sony 42" Flat Screen TV with surround sound, and Sky Q with 'On Demand' and streaming apps including Netflix, Amazon, Paramount+, iPlayer and ITVX. Wifi is also provided throughout the property for your convenience, courtesy of Sky Superfast Fibre broadband and seamless WiFi extenders. The heating is controlled via a Nest thermostat with a simple rotary dial to change the preset temperature. The air is constantly refreshed via a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) system which reduces humidity and cools the property on warmer days. All windows have trickle vents which allow the air to circulate 24/7. Due to the size of the accommodation and its cleaning requirements, one and two-night stays are charged as three nights. The hot tub is drained, cleaned and refilled between every booking to ensure the water is fresh on your arrival.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Good facilities and amazing location
We hired East Wing for a group of 8 for my 60th and were not disappointed. The bedrooms were large, comfortable and clean and there was a lovely big room for us all to sit and socialise together. The kitchen had most things we needed. The garden was an asset - as the weather was so good - we sat out and used the hot tub several times. The biggest asset was the location. - walkable to Rufford Park, which we explored lots of times, and a lovely restaurant that was dog friendly. It was also central to drive to Sherwood Forest, Clumber Park, the Holocaust Museum and Nottingham. If we were back in the area with a large group - we would definitely use again.

Fabulous for larger groups; well equipped
We really enjoyed our stay here, we were a group of 9. One had mobility issues but no problem with accommodating her with en-suite bedroom downstairs. We were very comfortable; well equipped; really enjoyed the hot-tub. The multi-function shower was rather bewildering so we stuck with the traditional shower! Within walking distance of Rufford Abbey.

Dear Joanne, Thank you for your comments and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! There are instructions for using the steam shower enclosure in the Information Pack but we will be adding a video soon to our website which hopefully will clear up any confusion. The walk-in shower is more traditional by comparison but is a modern design with a fixed overhead rainfall and separate hand-held shower heads, and just two rotary controls - one to select the output and one for temperature.
