Surrounded by acres of forest, next to a river and out of sight of any neighbours our old mill is a great place to get away from it all. It is very spacious, has two fireplaces, two double bedrooms (plus a bunk-bed for children) and a great kitchen.

The old mill has been extensively renovated inside which makes it very comfortable. However we have retained the mills traditional French character, using pieces of mill equipment as furniture, lovely stone floors, exposed stone walls and shuttered windows. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, one with a shower, the other with a huge old cast iron bath from a hotel in Paris - perfect for two! The mill has a vast sitting room and equally large kitchen and dining area. Well equipped with a gas smeg range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer the mill is a great... Read more

The seclusion of the property allows you to feel like you are the only people in country France. Whether you are keen to go cray fishing in the creek, have a movie night, cook as a family in the well equipped kitchen or leaf through a book by yourself there is always adequate space to unwind. The absence of wifi...

A beautiful property, immaculately presented with bags of character and charm. We enjoyed barbecues and relaxing in a wonderful setting. Really a place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed catching, cooking and then eating crayfish from the nearby river, which is not something you get to do every day.

We were in the area on a house-hunting trip and after a lot of searching and reading of reviews we chose Moulin D'Enval as a suitable base to explore the Limousin region (and indeed a template for the kind of property we were looking for). It turned out to be exactly the right choice - set in gorgeous surroundings, it...

About the neighbourhood
Places to visit/Things to do
Uzerche - Very pretty town - about 45 mins from the house.
In 1787, the English writer Arthur Young described the city as "The Pearl of the Limousin," nicknamed because of its picturesque setting, and a name by which it is still widely known today. Built atop a rocky outcrop, surrounded by a meander of the river Vézère which it dominates, Uzerche possesses a rich cultural heritage. First as a centre of influence and an important crossroads fortress under Pepin the Short, the city was also the seat of a powerful abbey and later a Seneschal. This legacy means that Uzerche features castles, hotels and other buildings marked by turrets [1] that were built by the uzerchoise nobility and that can still be seen today, thereby, adding weight... more
