This house was our family home for ten years. Renovated 5 years ago this 1940's Queenslander was the original homestead when the area was just rolling hills filled with dairy cattle. Perched on the top of a hill the afternoon breezes are wonderful in what is now one of Brisbane's most sought after areas for real estate. This home now consists of the original Timber Queenslander beautifully renovated with all the modern conveniences sitting on top of a separate modern two-bedroom self-contained apartment. Lone Pine Lodgings is located in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove 10 minutes by car from Brisbane's CBD or 20 minutes by bus located just outside the door. This beautiful Old Queenslander is tastefully decorated with original art works (not painted by the owner so they are actually beautiful) hanging on pale grey walls of the 3 bedrooms and lounge room. As with all Queenslander homes, the three oversized bedrooms comprises of a master bedroom with queen size bed and ensuite, a second bedroom with both a double and bunk beds and a third bedroom with a queen and a single bed. Large wardrobes with hanging space and shelves in all bed rooms have plenty of space for either a short or long term stay and the bedrooms are air-conditioned. The separate full size kitchen has beautiful views of the city at night and is fully equipped with European oven and gas cook top along with a microwave and family size fridge. A full size dining table seating 8 for both you and any visitors you may decide to entertain during your stay also has access on to our timber deck with seating looking through the trees, close enough to touch and into the yard. The bathroom and toilet are in separate rooms with the bathroom having both a shower and a bath along with an oversized sink. We welcome pets by agreement and there is a fully fenced section of the garden available for your exclusive use and where your pets can be safely contained. Facilities for kids include a foldaway bed, porta cot and a high chair all available by arrangement. The garden is fully fenced and secure - it’s a very kid-friendly environment. Please feel free to chat about any specific requirements - we're happy to help. The prices indicated are for 2 guests. When you request a quote, we will include the following fees: $20 per night per additional adult guest $15 per night per additional guest under 18 $5 per night per pet (pets by arrangement - please advise us of your needs when you enquire)

very comfortable lots of space
A swimming pool would of been great but overall very comfortable. Loccation very good and great place for a family thank you kindly for opening your beauitful home up for my family and wishing you and your family a Happy New Year.

"Amazing accommodation for big groups"
We were privileged to have stayed in both upper and lower floors and we're delighted on our almost a-week-stay in this house. Kids just loved the spacious rooms and backyard. Amenities are complete and adults enjoyed just staying at the upper terrace having chat and sipping coffee. And most especially, Kate and Garrath were very accommodating and really gave us a feeling that we're at home. We will definitely book this property again on our next scheduled visit in Queensland.

This is a quiet, safe suburban area with all facilities in easy reach. There are supermarkets within 5 minutes drive and the bus stop is 200m away. It takes about 15 minutes (outside peak hour) to drive to the city or Southbank.
How to get there
There's no right turn into our street if you're travelling south so use adjacent streets to get to us. There is plenty of street parking available. Its about 15 minutes from the airport (using the tunnels).
