Home Central is an original Australian Federation style home, huge 4 bedrooms, high ceilings and original polished jarrah floor boards, with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Easily accommodates up to 8 guests. Air conditioned and heated, with a lovely rear courtyard which has a huge pond with frogs! Spread out and relax in this very spacious home. Beds are 4 queen beds plus one single, and a cot. Bathrooms are 1.5 (one shower, two toilets) Smoking is allowed but strictly outside in an undercover area where an ashtray is provided. provided.

No events, functions, parties or large gatherings permitted. Hotels/restaurants are a 2 minute walk away for these events. Please limit visitors to a couple at a time. Visitors are subject to house rules. No pets, incense or candles. Smoking strictly outside where an ashtray is provided. This is a quiet family area. We ask you are quiet when outside, particularly evening 8pm onwards as sounds are amplified, in consideration of neighbours with children/bedtimes etc. No loud music/radio.

Great Area of Perth
My husband, son and myself stayed in Lina's property for 2 weeks and found it to be a great place to be for our fortnight holiday. A spectacular traditional older type house that has been refurbished in areas, a beautiful ensuite in the main bedroom, kitchen and main bathroom. The house in Mt Lawley is in a quiet residential area situated on a road that can get busy at times but never a problem. Central Avenue isn't far from Beaufort Street less than 5 minutes walk, the main road for catching buses to the city centre and where there are pubs (The Inglewood Hotel) and restaurants to go to within walking distance. Lina was an excellent host she greeted us the day after we arrived (we arrived very early hours in the morning) and made us very welcome and said we can contact her anytime if we ever need anything. Overall a wonderful stay in a clean, comfortable very big house.

Perfect spot to explore Perth and surrounds
We were three adults visiting Perth for a mini family get-together. Lina, our host, greeted us and settled us in on arrival and offered to assist us at any time during our stay. This lovely Mt Lawley house was a perfect base for about a week of tourist exploring Perth and nearby attractions, as well as such local attractions as the Inglewood Monday night food markets. This is a beautiful older style house lovingly maintained. The kitchen, dining room and verandah allowed us to cook meals when we wanted to and have the choice of eating inside or out. While the house is on a street that is reasonably busy during the day, it is quiet at night. We slept soundly, even when the nearby Bunnings burnt down! We like to walk or use public transport to get around and walked to and from the CBD of Perth a couple of times during our stay. It was a pleasant hour's trip in the cool of the morning or evening. Buses run very regularly along main streets like Beaufort St into the city, so we also used them regularly. We were also regulars at the Beaufort St cafes and the Second Avenue IGA during our stay. All very helpful places to check out. The Inglewood Monday night food markets are a definite highlight, as is Chakra's Indian Restaurant, a couple of blocks away. Thank you, Lina for a lovely place to enjoy our time in Perth.

Excellent accommodation
I booked this house for my girlfriend and I, and it was superb. Beautifully presented, well appointed, very clean, quiet and cosy (even though it's a large house). Our host who lives nearby was very welcoming, met us on arrival to show us around, and was available if needed during our stay. It's an awesome central location: the Beaufort street strip is just a two minute walk away for drinks and dining, and Northbridge and the city centre are only 10-12 minutes by bus. I've stayed at plenty in Perth but this was by far the best. We loved it and would definitely book again, especially for a family get together, as this house can accommodate 8 people very comfortably. Definitely recommended.

Mt Lawley is a heritage area, a quiet safe family area dotted with parklands. It is known as a 'super suburb' as it is very trendy, green, has maintained its old Australian architecture throughout the suburb. It is a very desirable area and very close, only 3.5k from the city centre. Cafes, restaurants, Hotel, supermarket, post office, fuel etc are just a few minutes walk away.

How to get there
A car is a bonus for sight seeing as Perth is very spread out. You can pre book a rental car at the airport and drive to your accommodation! A taxi from the International Airport is approx 20 minutes A taxi from the Domestic Airport is approx 15 minutes. There is a shuttle service from the airport but this goes to the City, not your accommodation and is approx $18 per person. A taxi will cost about $20-30 no matter how many people.
