Our Self-contained private access studio has everything you need and it is perfectly located for Business or pleasure! It’s a short walk to the Lake and Taupo’s wonderful eateries and bars. Or stay in and cook on the gas bbq on the deck in a garden area. You can purchase a very good NZ wine and a steak from the local butcher and supermarket only 5minutes walk from the studio! We also welcome those from the LGBT community. Taupo is a magnificent Tourist Town situated in the central North Island nestled next to beautiful Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake. We will most likely meet you at the studio ( we live upstairs) to hand over the keys and go over the house rules etc with you. We're pretty easy to get on with and once you're settled we don't bother you, but you are welcome to pop up and see us if there is a problem or you need help with anything.

Our favourite places are listed in our house manual/rules but as a taster here are a few places you should try and visit. Vines Restaraunt - great food, great wine and great hosts. Huka Falls - pure energy packaged in a small area. Craters of the Moon - for a walk around the out of this world feeling of thermal activity (approx 1hr30min). Paddle & Spoon - the local hangout for a decent coffee and slice. A fantastic place to relax is the Wairakei Terraces - Silica mineral hot pools OR you have De Bretts Hot pools which is more family and fun orientated with a Pool Slide that loops round.

Everything is quite close so walking to town to get to the supermarket will take about 15 to 20 min or 5 min by car. If you're into cycling and want to hire a bike there are a few shops around town that will do this. Pack n Pedal, & Torpedo are just two that you could try. You will need to hire a car if you don't already have one to get around to the different sites around Taupo - you could try Pegasus Rentals we have found them to be good.
