"Tide's Reach" - formerly know as 'Water's Edge' - is a stylish end townhouse in a unique harbourside development in the picturesque village of Garlieston in the Galloway Machars, Dumfries & Galloway. Rated 4 star by Scottish Country Holidays.

The property sleeps 4 people in one twin and one double (en suite) bedroom. High chair and travel cot available. The spacious open-plan living area includes comfortable lounge, well-equipped modern kitchen and dining area with harbour views. The property has been decorated and furnished to a high standard, with a good level of equipment in the kitchen and throughout. There are sea views from most windows, but particularly from the first floor balcony.

Although we live some distance from the property, we are always on hand by telephone or email should you have any queries or difficulties during your stay (however trivial).

Just arrived home from a fantastic week at tides reach. Picked the keys up as planned and arrived to a beautifully warm retreat. The house is cosy warm and well equipped. We found Tides Reach a spacious,welcoming and well equipped house,overall it was immaculate apart from the kitchen bin which was dirty and smelly and the cutlery needs replacing as some of it was rusty.The hoover is very heavy and weighs the same as an average small family car.The gravelled area to the back of the house is very small and...

is situated right on the harbourside in the sleepy fishing village of Garlieston in the Galloway Machars. With sea views from most windows and coastal walks starting right from the front door, this is the ideal away-from-it all break.
Garlieston village has small shop and a pub (1/4 mile from property), plus tennis courts and children's play area. Other good eating places in nearby Wigtown and Isle of Whithorn.

While there is a bus service linking Garlieston to Wigtown and Newton Stewart, this runs quite infrequently, so your own transport is advisable to enjoy the area to the full.

How to get there
Railway: Stranraer: 40.0 km
Travelling by car, take the main A75 trunk route to Newton Stewart, then follow the signs for Wigtown. Just outside Wigtown, you will see signs for Garlieston and Port William to the right. Follow this road therough the villages of Bladnoch and Kirkinner, then turn left following the signs for Garlieston.

Once in the village, bear right along the sea front, passing the village hall on your left, until you reach teh harbour development Tide's Reach is situated in the first block on your left, with alocated parking for one vehicle just outside the property. Additional parking is located just across the road, behind the two older cottages.
