Lovely, quiet village, with a friendly cafe just around the corner. Great views all around and especially from the balcony. A delightful spot to spend a week or two in a well equipped property.

The property is extremely well appointed and offers accommodation on three levels with a double bedroom (with en-suite) on the upper floor leading to the roof terrace.

There is a further bathroom on the lower floor along with the kitchen and breakfast area.

The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, large fridge / freezer, washing machine, microwave etc.

The middle floor is devoted to the dining and sitting areas. The sitting area has been particularly well planned to include a dividing curtain so that the sleeping capacity can be increased to 4 persons if required, whilst still maintaining privacy.

About the neighbourhood
Los Masos (the farms) is a small commune made up of a few hamlets. This property is in the hamlet of Llonat and is a peaceful, typical village of the region with the local church just around the corner. It also benefits from having a small café and grocery store so it is possible to just relax and forget about the car for a few days if you wish. The nearest main town, just a few kilometers away, is Prades. A thriving market town, Prades has many great shops and restaurants as well as a lively market on both Tuesday and Saturday mornings, where you can buy local produce such as the peaches and cherries that are grown in abundance here, fresh vegetables, wonderful cheeses…. and of course the excellent wine! There are events and festivals throughout the year. Spanish cellist Pablo Casals fled to Prades during the Spanish civil war, stayed and established the festival that now bears his name. The Catalan summer school takes over the town for two weeks in August, and there is dancing in the square every night during this period. Places of Interest: For touring the area, Los Masos offers an excellent base. Just a few of the sites of interest within easy driving distance are listed below: * Villefranche de Conflent, a fine example of a medieval walled town, visit Fort Liberia perched high above the town. * Little Yellow Train, catch this train from Villefranche and enjoy the specatular mountain views right into the Pyrenees. * Grottes de Canalettes, magnificent renowned caves with an incredible light and sound show. * St Martin du Canigou, 9th century abbey perched impressively high on the hillside with fantastic scenery and walks. * St Michel de Cuxa, 6th century abbey that hosts concerts during the Pablo Casals festival but is also open for viewing most of the year. * St Thomas les Bains, outstanding natural thermal hot springs in wonderful outdoor mountain setting. * Animal Park, Casteil, lovely day out for the children, lots of animals to see and feed, in a beautiful mountain park, the walk around the park is 2-3 km, bring a picnic. * Perpignan, the capital of the region, has many historical buildings, art galleries, shops and restaurants. Thursday nights in Perpignan in the summer are festival evenings - not to be missed. * Skiing in winter - we are 45 minutes from the slopes of the Pyrenees ski resorts. * Aqualand - amazing waterpark in St Cyprien with many great slides and water attractions for all the family. * Marquixanes - Tree top adventure park with cargo nets and zip wires over the river, tubing and picnic area. * Wine tasting – throughout the region watch out for the “Dégustation” signs.
