Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Excellent and peaceful property
Very well kept property, situated in the middle of an olive grove. Property well maintained and serviced several times a week. Clean and functional. Very peaceful away from the hustle/bustle of city life. Beach is 5 minutes walk from the property. Does require a car to move around to other beaches and shops/village.

British experience
It was a very enjoyable experience to spend a week at Alilea Villas. The interior is very comfortable, the area is very quiet. I could run in the morning on the beach and near the beach.
The hosts are literally admirable and make every effort to make you feel at home.

A most enjoyable Greek island experience in a delightful, traditional stone cottage.
The accommodation was very attractive and well appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely location with nice views from the property and there are plenty of beautiful places to visit on the island. We were greeted upon arrival by our friendly hostess who showed us around the house and explained how things worked. This personal touch was most appreciated as were the many times she popped in to make sure everything was okay and to offer suggestions for our daily explorations of the island. The village close by is very small and typically Greek which we enjoyed, especially meeting some of the friendly locals. There are plenty of amenities in the village which include Supermarkets, Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Bakeries etc. It is possible to walk to the village but there is no public transport so your own vehicle or a rental is necessary if you wish to make the most of your visit to Evia Island.

A magic place
It's a very quiet place where you can rest and relax, a magic view of the sea merged with the mountains. In front of the house there's a greensward very beautiful and well care! The house is very clean, welcoming and the hosts are very kindness. Thank you for all!

A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended
We had a lovely holiday staying at the villas. The view was beautiful, the gardens well maintained, close to beach, peaceful. The villa was well equipped and very clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday, and air con too! Highly recommended.

Beautiful, relaxing, delightful. Excellent host.
We loved staying at Alilea Villas, and would love to stay there again. We liked this area of Evvia because it is unspoiled and there were few tourists. The sea was 5 minutes walk from the house. There is a group of 6 houses in a row. The houses are so solidly built that even when the weather is hot they feel cool inside. The solidity also makes for good soundproofing so if you are inside you can't hear anything from outside. Fences of 8-foot tall geraniums separate the houses and those, plus careful arrangement in the building, give a measure of privacy. The spacious area around is beautifully landscaped with olive trees, non-fruiting mulberries and flowers. There is plenty of safe space for children to run around or to play ball games. The houses are not luxurious but they are comfortable, sparklingly clean and have everything you need. There isn't a microwave, but with all the lovely fruit and vegetables available this didn't matter to us. Sitting outside is a delight.
Myrto is an excellent host, and can sell you wonderful own-produce olive oil, herbs etc. One evening all the visitors together had souvlaki, salad etc and drinks, provided by Myrto; good quality and only a few euros for the two of us.
It could be tricky if you had awful neighbours, but then what would people like that be doing going to remote North-west Evvia?
Local beaches make good trips, but you need to be inventive to find places of interest to go to, especially if, like us, you don't want to go to Athens, Delphi or Halkida. The local roads were fine but very twisty, so 25–30 mph was mostly the speed at which we travelled.

Beautiful, friendly place
We stayed at Alilea with our two children aged 4 years and 6 months. The facilities for the children were excellent with a lovely clean travel cot with an extra comfy mattress with sheets and blanket supplied, a highchair and plastic cups. There is also a small play area for younger children under the shade of an olive tree and you can watch them from the veranda. The villa itself was lovely, spacious, very clean and well equipped with a lovely large veranda with a large area of grass in front. There is a lovely quiet pebble beach a 5-10 minute walk away with sun loungers and umberellas provided by Alilea. Kiria Myrto was very welcoming and checked daily that everything was ok for us, there was also a souvlaki BBQ held once a week which was really lovely, it really felt more like visiting family.

Amazing hospitality

Just what we needed!
Alilea Villas on the island of Evia, was a great place to stay, and we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday there in October 2013.
I think a car is probably necessary for most visitors, as it's definitely worthwhile visiting other parts of the island.
Our host, Myrto was both friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, and the villa was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed.
The local supermarkets in Politika were well stocked and the shopkeepers again, very friendly and helpful. One shopkeeper phoned Myrto on the night we arrived, when we took a wrong turning on the one way system in the dark, and she drove out to lead us to the villas.
The villas are very close to a long, narrow strip of pebble beach, and care needs to be taken as there are sea urchins, however we were shown the safest area of beach to go swimming by our host, Myrto, who also provided suitable footwear we could borrow.
The location allows you to make trips to mainland attractions. It took us about 2 and a half hours to drive to Delphi, and Athens is about an hours drive away.
Our party included a 12 yr old and a 78 yr old, and both thoroughly enjoyed the holiday.
I would definitely return there in the future, and would recommend Alilea Villas to anybody looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

Stille Tage in traumhaftem Studio
