Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Perfect weekend retreat
We have recently arrived home from a fabulous, fun filled weekend retreat at ZeroNurf and felt compelled to write a review. My husband and I visited along with several others as part of a pilates/yoga and cycling group and had the best time. The whole weekend was o well throughout and way exceeded our expectations. Mike and Joss are truly wonderful hosts and have worked so hard making this the perfect place to stay. Nothing was too much and they really made every effort to ensure we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The property itself is stunning, set in beautiful surroundings with the wonderful Pyrenees as a backdrop. The décor throughout is beautiful and many of the soft furnishing are handmade by Joss which was a lovely touch. Outside, there is also a good sized saltwater pool, which is very welcoming on a hot summers day. Joss is also a very talented cook. The meals she provided were absolutely delicious and this was definitely a highlight for us. Being a vegetarian can be tricky, especially visiting France so to have such lovely food was a real treat. Mike provided some great guided tours for my husband and the other member of the group which were a great mix of challenging climbs, scenic county roads and historical towns. It was the perfect opportunity to take in the amazing natural beauty around them whilst doing what they love best. He also took us less experienced bike riders out on a lovely gentle route to a nearby village which was perfect. The tailored pilates and yoga programme delivered by the Essence Studio was brilliant. A session of each, one in the morning and the other before dinner with other activities such as kayaking, wine tasting and cycling in between. I especially loved the kayaking on a nearby river as this was something I haven’t experienced before. The whole weekend was the perfect balance of rest, relaxation and fun activities and would hope to visit again soon in the not so distant future.

Fabulous & relaxing stay in the countryside
A fabulous farmhouse in rural France, run by a lovely family. Joss and Mike made us feel most welcome and we relaxed into our mini-break as soon as we arrived at their beautifully furnished home in the countryside. We stayed for 3 nights in the loft (which had the most comfortable bed, ever!) and arranged to have bed and breakfast, plus one charcuterie dinner on site. All meals were delicious, with great coffee, homemade items and local produce. The view from the refreshing pool is stunning, and the pretty roads to nearby villages a pleasure to drive along. You do need to take these roads to other villages for meals out, there are no restaurants in Gaudiès or within walking distance, but both of the reservations that Joss made for us were perfect, great food and service and worth the drive. Also, Joss is happy to cook for guests if you want to stay at home for a good meal with a bottle of wine (or two!) We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at the farmhouse, and also went mountain biking around the Montbel Lake from Léran and cooled off with a swim in the lake, which was good fun and another great way to take in the local sunflower-filled scenery. All in all, a fabulous stay with very kind hosts, and their friendly pets - we didn’t want to come home! I look forward to seeing the dates for the yoga and creative retreats that are on the horizon, they would be a perfect return to Joss and Mike at ZeroNeuf! :-)

Spot on.
We stayed at ZeroNeuf for a special cycling trip, and it was indeed exceptional. Mike and Joss made us feel right at home and have found the perfect balance of hospitality for a relaxed and completely stress free stay. Mike serves local beers and Joss’s meals were delicious. The bikes we hired for the stay were great and cleaned and service miraculously overnight to be ready for the next days adventures. Mike gave us carefully chosen routes that showcase the Ariege, which has pretty much all you can want in terms of rolling terrain, high mountains, the toughest 3.6kms in the Pyrenees, and rides with surprises. I feel we only managed to scratch the surface in 4 days. In short. This is place is spot on.

Perfect cycling retreat
This is a home from home kinda place. It’s perfect. Joss and Mike just cannot be more welcoming and kind. Just returned from my second stay at Zero Neuf , in less than a year. It is in such a beautiful, unspoilt part of the world where there is nothing left for you to do but relax and go for a bike ride. Joss provides the homemade touches including the food which is wholesome, very tasty and eagerly awaited every evening. There is a cafe on site too which serves coffee and beer perfect to bookend any days riding. ! They have such a picturesque setting and are the ideal hosts together with their sons , dogs and chickens it always makes for a memorable stay. I will be back.

The perfect cycling experience
Zero Neuf was kind enough to host my teammates and I for a week in late August. It was an absolutely amazing week. Joss and Mike are incredibly warm, welcoming and kind. They are, to put it bluntly, the perfect hosts. Mike knows all the best routes in the region, he's happy to share his knowledge and he also pulls a mean shot of espresso in the morning. Joss, meanwhile, turned out dish after incredible dish for a horde of hungry riders. I still dream of a particular plum tart she made with fruit from her own trees. The house is beautiful, well-appointed and did you see that pool? There's nothing better than coming back from a great ride and jumping into a pool. Interested in having the best bike trip of your life? This is it.

Not just cycling and immersive French experience.
Cycling Holidays are just that, Cycling + Holidays. Often one can be detrimental to the other or the balance never quite struck. Mike and his family ensured this was never the case from the moment we hit the arrivals halls. This was a truly immersive French experience from the accommodation to the food to the routes and scenery. Yes the Cycling was epic and being able to roll from the front door through varied routes each day was incredible but the attention to detail and the ability to balance structure with flexibility meant that this was about the entire experience and truly became a 'Cycling Holiday'

Perfect Location and Hospitality for Cycling
Staying at Joss and Mike's beautiful house was amazing. The house is very well equipped for all your needs and their hospitality knows no bounds. They really do pull out all the stops so you can enjoy your cycling holiday. Everything you could need is thought of so rest assure your time on and off the bike will be excellent. We were treated to the most amazing dinners each night and a very generous breakfast every day. On top of that Mike and Joss were always around to help out with any questions about routes, the local area, bike shops and so on. The house is just as lovely as it is in the pictures. Amazing pool, a stocked bar and cafe with a full on espresso machine which was awesome and well used! Im a big fan of France and it will always be the home of cycling to me. Mike and Joss really do it justice!

Stylish gite in beautiful location!
We had a lovely week long stay at ZeroNeuf in August 2018 with our 6 & 8 year olds. Joss and Mike made us feel very welcome and even provided us with some home grown fruit and veg on arrival and a few home baked treats in the week :) My husband went out cycling several times with Mike and had hired a bike from their hire shop to save him bringing his bike! Great little cafe on site where we enjoyed daily lattes and the odd glass of wine. The on site pool was great for keeping the kids entertained and Joss offers a fab kids club (for a small extra fee) which we also took advantage of so that we could spend a morning together without the kids! Our two especially enjoyed the friendly animals and grounds to play in!
