Andros is the greenest and the second biggest island of Cyclades, only two hours by ferryboat from Rafina one of the main port of Athens situeted 20 minutes, also the same from Eleftherios Venizelos Athens airport.
The house sitting in Ormos Korthiou a fishing village 23klm from Gavrio port of island. In the center of the village in the pedestrian street you can find full market shop as super market, coffee shop, restaurants, pharmacy, bank,shop with local products and handmade soaps mainly produced by the local women's association. I am a friendly person and very sociable. I love people and i like to share my knowledge and my experiences with them. I can assist in the transfer from the ferry to the house and explain to you the details of the house. Also there is a Range Rover car available for rent if there is needed.

About the neighbourhood
The island has a rich geographical contrasts and combines the dry Cycladic landscape with lush vegetation and abundant water. It is the unique Cycladic island that springs from the rivers to the sea that run throughout the year. In these waters Andros owes her beauty and the ancient names Lasia ( with rich vegetation) and Ydrousa ( with abundant water.)
Dressed in green it stands out of the rest islands thanks to its lushful vegetation that Andros owes to its rich underground and surface water recources. Within this distrinct environment a gracious cultural is being preserved , with many painters, sculptors and scholars.
Getting around
Archaeological sites.
The ancient settlement of Zagora is located on a steep plateau (160m height) of the peninsula. Life in the settlement began in the 10th century BC and lasted until the end of the 8th century BC.
The hill of Ipsili which lies just north of Zagora, at the modern village of Aprovato,hosts an extremely extensive settlement of the Geometric period with a strong defensive wall. The settlement was inhabited until yhe Roman period.
Paleopoli is the ancient town of Andros which flourished from the Classical times till the Roman period. Here you can visit the Archaeological Museum where important findings from the wider region are echibited.
The Tower of St. Peter, dating from the Hellenistic period ( 4th - 3th century BC )
