lovely, warm and convenient apartment.
this recently renovated 2 br 1 bath is a wonderful place to stay in jerusalem. it is convenient to shops, stores and restaurants. It is comfortable and cozy, includes all the basics (great kitchen!) for a wonderful home base in jerusalem. it is easy to head to the center of town, the old city, the new train station or any number of great destinations from the main street which is steps from the apartment. the place is clean and up to date has beautiful natural light and plenty of closet space. the kitchen is easy to work in and provides plenty of space to cook. the washer and dryer are a great bonus and work well. highly recommend!

Best location, perfect for our needs
Literally 50 steps from a bustling neighborhood filled with great shops and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed these three restaurants: Caffit, Aroma, and Ben Ami, each on Emek Refa'im Street, near Malal Street. The apartment itself, at 3 Malal Street, is wonderful, with extraordinarily comfortable beds and a nice spacious common area to hang out in. We want to stay here again on our next visit!

Nice flat in a good location
This is a nice, airy flat with a good space in the living/dining area, a large enough kitchen with a preparation island, adequate cupboard space, nice main bedroom and very useable twin bed second bedroom. The bathroom is also nice. The oven and the washer/drier work well. The dining table extends to seat 10 (but there is only flatware for 6 if you are kosher). The refrigerator is quite large. There are adequate towels.
Caveats: there are no screens on the windows which is fine for cold weather, but open windows at night means flying friends in through the windows. There is no coffee table or chair side table in the living room. There is no bedside table in the bedrooms. The kitchen counter surfaces are wood, so that a kosher renter might want to get a plastic or vinyl cover for it as we did. Likewise, we bought sink liners as there were none. Be sure to ask if there is a toaster if that is important to you. There is none now. Bring or provide extra bowls for serving if that is important to you. Likewise, bring Benchers for the Birchat HaMazon. Also, there are no Shabbat lights in the entrance way.
That said, it is right off Emek Refaim, very well located, and we were able to adapt or adopt solutions to almost all of the deficiencies (exceptionalities;t the toaster). We liked the apartment. We were able to entertain friends with dinner for up to 8 persons comfortably (The owner provided folding chairs as there only 5 chairs usable at the table). We are certainly considering asking to rent this apartment again in the future, as overall it is very nice.

Great Location at Malal 3
We loved the 2 bedroom apartment just off of Emek Refaim. Great location and very responsive and friendly owner and manager.

Outside the apt on the main road you will find buses taking you to the Old City and all parts of town. there are also cabs at all times on the main road. Easy transportation and of course you can also walk to the Old City in 25 mins. We are next to the new First Station Walk way with shops and restaurants
