My beautiful apt. in central Tel Aviv is light-filled and breezy, with a large terrace facing a mulberry tree over a backyard (birdsong in the morning!). Designed by my architect parents, it includes an open-space living-room and kitchen, bedroom with queen-size bed, guest-room with fold-out bed, bathroom and shower. Ideally located on a small street in the historic center, 2 mins. to Rothschild and trendy Shenkin streets, 5 minutes to Carmel Market, 10 mins. stroll to the beach or to Dizengof Center. Plenty of boutiques, cafes, food & convenience stores nearby. A perfect location for exploring Tel Aviv after taking tea on my terrace! There's AC (plus fan in the bedroom), WIFI, a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. This is my home - yours for a week or more -- where you'll feel like a real Tel Avivi, not a tourist. There is NO cat! Some reviews mention my cat but he's no longer here :-(More

About the neighbourhood
Located on a small side street in the heart of the Shenkin-Rothschild neighborhood ('Lev Tel Aviv'), the apt. is on the 2nd floor of a 4-floor house and faces the back yard with several large trees -- a rural paradise in central Tel Aviv. The mulberry tree creates a green curtain of leaves that shades the terrace and gives you full privacy -- a rare treat in the city center! You are few minutes walk from all the Shenkin and Rothschild cafes, restaurants and boutiques, plus 24-hour supermarket, organic minimarket, etc. I leave you my comprehensive 'Tips for Guests' with directions to my favorite cafes, not-expensive eating places, where to buy food, sightseeing, etc. It's a 10- minute stroll (via Carmel Market & the Yemenite Quarter) to one of Tel Aviv's nicest beaches...5 minutes if you u...
How to get there
From the airport you can either take a taxi directly here (about 170 NIS, 30 minutes ride) or take any train to Tel Aviv (12 minutes ride) and then a short taxi ride from Hashalom station. Train + taxi will cost about 50 NIS. Please note that trains do NOT run all night, so check the train schedule: www.rail.co.il/EN. Night trains to Tel Aviv stop only at Tel Aviv Savidor station, from there it's 10 minutes taxi ride at night to my place. My house (Haavoda 40) is third building from the corner of Melchett st - there's a small black gate and a garden at the entry. Go upstairs two floors to apt. 6 (silver door) - you're here!
