If you want to go to heaven on earth.... then this is it. Peace, warmth in every sense, kindness, tranquility, absolutely back to nature. This has a pure and rustic charm with a heap of places to relax and hide in the property alone - but that didn't stop us turning the music up and dancing on the terrace over-looking...

We had such a nice holiday at Baobab House, relaxing and spending hours lying in the hammocks, swimming, walking and reading. I loved the house, which has a very special feel set in amongst baobab trees. There were very few other tourists on Manda Island so we had the beach to ourselves. Stayed at Baobab for a week and it was one of our best ever holidays. The house is opposite Shela and always a short boat ride away when need be. About the neighbourhood
Baobab House is set in a secluded garden dominated by five giant Baobab trees. The house comes fully staffed with a cook and fisherman often show up at the door with their fresh catch. <BR>You can walk right onto the long, practically empty, beach, from the front doorstep, or take a walk into the island interior from the garden in the back. Down the beach to the left is the casual Blue Moon bar and restaurant with pizza oven and to the right you will find the five star bar and restaurant at The Majlis.<BR>Close to all the activities of the area and secluded in your own private house and garden, you have the best of all there is to offer.

How to get there
Easy to get to. Two hour plane journey from Nairobi to Lamu airport. Fly540 fly out of Nairobi's International Airport, Jomo Kenyatta.<BR>In addition internal flights are also offered by Air Kenya and Safari Link from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.<BR><BR>You will be met at Lamu airport and taken the thirty minute journey to Baobab House via private boat.<BR>
