Holiday Rental House
This small, charming historical wooden house is situated with a beautiful view over rice fields. Located on the edge of a small village, it offers a perfect mix of living in tropical nature with fast access to the city center of Yogyakarta. Rumah Gladak - this is how the house is historically named - has originally been used to store and dry rice grains. We placed this sweet little house in a nice spot of our land with a vast view over the rice fields. Our land is situated around 8 km South from the city of Yogyakarta. We offer breakfast, prepared by our staff. We also arrange delivery of traditional food from the village for lunch and dinner. Next to Rumah Gladak, under the shade of bamboo and banana trees is a comfortable wood-carved day bed with view to the fish pond - the perfect place for resting, reading, writing. From our land, you can directly start walking or jogging through the rice fields. We just newly built a place for Meditation and Yoga, constructed from a former stall for cows, now converted into a small studio for movement and meditation practice. It is equipped with Yoga mats for your own personal practice. From our land, you can directly start walking or jogging through the rice fields. To explore the area further, we can offer you bicycles to rent (25.000 rp/day), a motorbike (Scoopy) for rent (60.000 rp/day) and we can as well organize a driver with a car. We can also help you organize a driver with a car to make day trips. During high season, it is advisable to let us know before your arrival if you need a driver, since we can not guarantee to find a driver available. More

Interaction with guests
Rumah Gladak is situated on our land together with the main house – a historical wooden house, which we build for our own living. Since we are travelling a lot, we will also offer this house occasionally for rent. There will be a friend of us on check in, who speaks fluent English and who you can contact anytime if you have questions.

About the neighbourhood
Our area is known for its handicraft such as pottery, the making of Shadow Puppets, Kayu Batik (a Batik technique on wood). We designed a small map, which you can use when you arrived to get orientated about the area and what you can do there. We also created a small map of the local food options in our area. You can get it yourself, you can also ask our staff to get it for you.
