Fascinated by the magic of the old Town, where authentic Ecuadorian traditions are still alive in its streets and places, we decided that this is where we want to live.It took us three years to carefully renovate this treasure. Within the 15.000 sqft of the old historical villa, adjoining buildings and its gardens we created 8 independent Suites cautious of not loosing the colonial charm but adding all the contemporary comforts. Art objects in the lush garden and cozy living spaces give Wantara Suites a unique flair. A breeze from the Panecillo hill provides fresh mountain air and you sit outside, surrounded by flowers and enjoy the sunny Ecuadorian climate.

Comfortable, perfect location
This was a very nice apartment located in the best location of old town, near to the downtown and yet far enough away to be quiet. It is in a small walled in residence area with only a few apartments so it was private and safe. The gate locked automatically with a remote key pad. The garden/patio area was great to relax and enjoy the outdoors or eat our dinner on the porch. A bakery was just a short few yards away and little grocery stores were nearby. Marcelo was a good driver and took us to locations in town and to to the airport on time at a reasonable rates. He lives right nearby so it is very handy and safe not to worry about a taxi. He had good advice on safety and suggestions on where to visit the city. We would recommend this place to others and if you are a larger group he manages other studio's in the same location. A wonderful place to stay.

About the neighbourhood
Our condo is located in the neighborhood of San Sebastian in the Historical Center. The beautiful Plaza de la Independencia, many churches, museums and calle La Ronda, with all its authentic gastronomic offers are just a short walk away.
Quitos eco-bus called Trole is a 2 minutes walk away (Cumanda Station) and the cheap taxi services get you to the modern city in 15 minutes.
