A divers paradise, many top dive sites can be reached on a daily basis including trips to the famous Thistlegorm. However if all you want is to eat, drink and sun bathe, the choice is yours.There are even a couple of water parks and quad biking to hand. However if all you want is to eat, drink and sun bathe, the choice is yours.There are even a couple of water parks and quad biking to hand. I have been visiting Egypt for many years and never tire of it. The apartment is fully equipped but who would want to cook when you can eat and drink for under £10? There is a fantastic selection of bars and resaurants within 15-20 minutes slow walking distance for those who fancy a strole. (This part of Hurghada has recently been developed and there is a pormenade that stretches from the main road the aparments are on almost to Hurghada town). Otherwise easily reached by taxi or local bus. Using small white min buses you can expect to pay 1 Egyptian pound to get from the apartments to Hurghada. The apartment is a three story block the pool courtyard is 10 feet from your front door and has kidney shaped pool with small round children's pools. The main selling pint o fthis pool are is the privacy that it gives you. Perfect for those romanitc evenings. The apartments were only completed in January 2008 and everything is well maintained. The lounge and bedroom have a good air conditioning unit that will run as a heater in the coldest months when it is a bit nippy at night. A note on safety issues since recent events in Egypt. I would be a liar if I said that there has not been a chamge on the streets. However if you are sensible and take care not to get caugth alone after dark there should be no reason for you not to feel safe and enjoy your stay.

About the neighbourhood

The Intercontinental District is in the locality of the Steinberger, Hilton Resort, and Grand Plaza Hotels. All their facilities are available for you to use and dining in them is a real delight after hard day playing in the crystal waters of the Red Sea discovering marine life. The areas where the locals shop and live is accessible by bus as already mentioned (Sigala and Dahar). The whole length of Hurghada is filled with really good places to eat and drink at cracking prices you won't get at home. If you want to make use of your duty free allowance you must go to a duty free outlet in your first 48hrs of stay or you will lose the allowance. As this is a Muslim country you will not find wine and beer for sale in the supermarkets as you do at home, so make the most of your inflight allowances. Do not worry though as it is very cheap to by alcohol with meals, snacks etc.

Hurghada can be reached at various times in the year using the following airlines; www.thomascook.com www.flythomascook.com www.easyjet.com www.charterflights.co.uk www.BA.com www.cheaplflights.co.uk Travel from the airport in Hurghada can be done by taxi at nominal fee. Be careful to agree the price before you leave the airport and watch out they will fleece you if they can. The transfer only takes about ten minutes. Ask the driver to take you to the Intercontinental District close to the Hilton Resort and Grand Plaza Hotels. Ask for the Oasis 5 apartments.
