About the neighbourhood
The villa is located in the village of Pejeng, a quiet place with a strategic position towards Bali's renowned cultural town Ubud (7km). Even closer to the villa, families can visit the famous Elephant Cave knowns as Goa Gajah (2,5 km). Driving in the opposite direction leads to Gunung Kawi (12km), where you can see ancient royal tombs carved into enormous stone cliffs and the Pura Tirtha Empul temple (13km). The Elephant safari park, which makes a great family day out, is 20 km away.
The easiest way of getting around is by motorbike (don't forget to wear a helmet and drive slowly), the staff will be happy to assist you in renting one. For families or those who don't dare to participate in Bali's slightly chaotic traffic, there are metered blue bird taxi's available on call and for day-trips, the staff can arrange a car and driver to get your around safely at an affordable price.
