Would strongly recommend. An extremely peaceful and therapeutic location with a pretty swimming pool and a great view of the Indian Ocean. Friendly caretakers. A cool breeze off the sea prevents one getting too hot as in many other Kenyan coastal locations.

About the neighbourhood
Malindi has several beaches, Malindi Bay and harbour, Silversands and Malindi Marine Park. The historic town of Malindi has been a Swahili settlement since the 13th Century and has classic examples of Swahili architecture. Vasco Da Gama anchored in the Bay in 1498 before setting sail for India, commemorated by Vasco Da Gama Pillar at the harbour headland. Malindi has numerous restaurants with local Swahili and Italian influence, including the infamous Italian 'I love Pizza' and ice cream cafe on the harbour. Malindi has numerous activities and I would be happy to recommend any operator on request.
Getting around
Local taxis are reasonable priced, readily available and reliable.
