You will be staying in an elevated house. We would advise utmost care if you are traveling with children. We do not allow smoking inside the rooms as you will be staying in a wooden cottage. But, there will be ample space around the cottage in case you would like to light a cigarette. Solitude is in Viripara village in Munnar. Our humble request would be to plan the check in before sunset, as the roads in Munnar villages will have a deserted look with minimal street lighting after sunset.

About the neighbourhood
Solitude is situated in the Viripara village which is at a 50 minutes drive from the Munnar town. Being a village, it is away from the hustles of the crowded Munnar town. You can enjoy the serene nature around the area. Viripara waterfalls is at a distance of 4.5 km from Solitude. You could further venture into Letchmi tea estate which is one of the tea estates less frequented by tourists and is some of the well preserved nature in Munnar. Viripara waterfalls also has a trekking trial which is managed by the Forest department. In the evening you could plan a visit to Anakkulam and could witness elephans coming down from forest for water.Kallar river is another attraction which runs round the river.
Getting around
You would defenitely need a vehicle to move around as the public transport is minimal. You could hire a rented vehicle from Munnar town or the nearest city where you are plannig you rarrival to Kerala. Being a village, we would request you to plan your arrival before sunset. The countryside roads in Munnar will have a deserted look post sunset.
