Our villa is a great space for a family holiday or group holiday with friends. It's a 3 story thai inspired villa set on a hillside in Kantiang Bay in Koh Lanta (nearest airport Krabi - about 2 hours transfer) with a private infinity pool. We normally use the house as our own holiday location as well as for casual holiday rentals. There are 5 double bedrooms and one triple room plus a cot. The living room and kitchen are all open plan with views across the Andaman Sea. The nearest beach is Kantiang Bay and it's about a 5 minute walk (downhill) away. We do recommend hiring a car though as Lanta is quite spread out and there's lots to see and do. It also makes driving to the more secluded beaches only 5 minutes away really easy. Kantiang is a less developed part of Lanta but it still has great facilities including top restaurants and spa at Pimalai, diving schools, elephant riding, cooking schools and access to agents who can arrange day trips to islands or snorkeling trips. The house itself is large enough to just hang out and relax in. The villa is a self-service villa, but the pool is cleaned twice weekly and extra cleaning service can be provided on request at local cost. Kitchen equipment provided: Fridge/Freezer Microwave Oven and Grill Toaster Kettle Plates, Cutlery, Utensils Basic Cooking Equipment Plastic Kids cutlery and plates etc Entertainment: We've got a TV and DVD player (BYO DVD's because it seems the local thai DVD shops have all closed down since iTunes came along!). We have wifi internet access at the villa. We have speakers that you can move around the villa and attach your mp3 player to also. Kids toys: We have some playmats and small selection of toys and games in the villa. Kids playmats are provided and there are some balls, games and puzzles in the villa too. It's a smallish selection so please bring more! Kids things: High Chair Blender Booster Seat Plastic kitchen things Portable safety barriers (you can tie them where you need them) Books: We have lots of books in the villa of all different genres that you're free to use. Guest Access There's also a shared pool on the development. Our villa is in the corner of a 7 villa plot and you'll be able to use the shared pool as well. Internet - we have wifi at the villa plus plenty of local wifi and internet cafes in the area. Interaction with Guests We don't live in Lanta so we'll help with your booking and then our rep will meet you to check in and check out. If you need anything whilst there you can contact them, but whilst on site you'll have complete privacy. The Neighborhood We love Kantiang Beach and the more southern beaches that have yet to be developed. We also love taking a boat trip to Ko Ha or Ko Rok for diving and snorkelling. The nearest shop (7-Eleven) and ATM is a 3 minute walk away. The nearest restaurants and bars are also 3 minutes walk away. There are a few cafes, beach bars and restaurants just 3-5 minutes walk away. The beach is about 5 minutes walk and an uphill walk back. We do recommend to hire a car for your stay if you have young kids or just want to travel further than the local area. The larger supermarkets in Lanta are in the main town, about 20 minutes away but have a good enough stock of international products and baby products. We will give you a full guide when you book with all the local info, restaurant recommendations, local contacts etc. Getting Around Hire a car from Krabi Airport and drive or hire one locally. You can also pick up mopeds but the roads can be dangerous so we recommend a car.More
