Many varieties of birds and animals, including hummingbirds, parrots, butterflies, iguanas, monkeys, mapaches, even ocelots and other wild cats, coatimundi, armadillos, and anteaters inhabit the surrounding hills and valleys of our private preserve.
Mere minutes from your Villa are supermarkets, shops, hotels, discos, 4 world-class golf courses, casinos, and restaurants to satisfy the most demanding palate. An onsite BBQ is available for grillers. (Bring home your catch, steaks, shrimp, etc. and share with friends and family!).
Adventure activities on land and sea are all within easy reach. Snorkeling, surfing, beaching, birding, sailing, and fishing - (onshore and offshore) - can easily be arranged. Land activities include several area zip lines, horseback riding, ATV adventures, hiking to a volcano, mud, and mineral hot spring baths, biking, river rafting, exploring waterfalls and so much more can be easily arranged for you. We are always here for your comfort and convenience.
Wi-Fi is widely available throughout the property, so keeping in touch should not be a problem.
If the sedentary life appeals, lounge under the palms by our oasis-like 42-foot pool, and enjoy our beautiful tropical gardens. Do it all - or nothing at all!

Contact prior to our arrival was excellent. Plenty of information and accurate directions from Liberia airport. Igor and Tom are very welcoming. They were helpful with local restaurant and tour guide recommendations and exceptionally helpful when our car went slightly off-road! Apartment 202 was spacious and well equipped. Great access straight into the beautiful gardens and pool area. I think the best views are to be had from the upstairs apartment in villa 2 and from the top apartment in villa 1. The views of the bay and the evening sunsets are spectacular. Plenty of lovely restaurants and beach bars within a short drive. A car is essential. Remember to pack your own pool/beach towels. The pool for villa 1/2 is wonderful and was very quiet whilst we were there. Plenty of sun loungers and shade available. We had a wonderful relaxing time and look forward to visiting Costa Rica again.

We always strive to offer our guests a safe, quiet and inviting atmosphere in which to relax and enjoy the climate and surrounding ambiance. Although the vistas from a couple of our other apartments are perhaps even more enticing, your Suite was located adjacent to one of our large swimming pools with spacious sunning terraces, surrounded by tropical gardens, offering sparkling views of the nearby hills and gentle Paacific ocean. Sunset is a special time here at Villas Casa Loma where we try to encourage an open appreciation of the natural wonders that surround us here! As you discovered, a wide variety of excellent restaurants abound in the area...many of them situated either on or near the spectacular beaches ...At Villas Caa Loma, you are never far from a mouth-watering culinary experience! We are always delighted to help with planning day tours designed for individual hedonistic experiences... Fishing, sailing, surfing, golfing, standup paddle, mountain biking, horseback riding, river cruises, hot springs and volcano visits are but a few of the exciting possibilities just minutes from our property. Knock yourself out, or curl up under a palm with a good book.The real joy is that you can do it all - or nothing at all ... The choice is always yours! Again, thank you for your visit. Magic Ocean Views & More !!!
After many visits to Villas Casa Loma, I continue to love the location and the quiet comfort afforded by hosts Tom and Igor. The staff are always warm and helpful, too. ​ ​They make themselves available with insightful suggestions for great restaurants, ​ ​arranging sightseeing trips and generally adding that extra "spice" to my holiday ​ ​experiences! My recent visit - a 3 months stay - was a special reward to myself for ​ ​many years of hard work. I returned home rested and refreshed!
The beauty of tropical vegetation there is often complimented by songs of various species of birds and wildlife. Each visit my accommodations have been comfortable, ​ ​private and secure. This property is conveniently located above the Pacific Ocean ​ ​on a hillside just moments from the nearest beaches, restaurants, supermarkets and ​shops. Spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Pacific Ocean!
For those so inclined, Villas Casa Loma is close to a wealth of activities offered ​ ​in the area, yet removed enough to allow the secure and quiet ambience I was seeking.
Two large tropical pools are yours for the choosing! Like the beaches of the area,​ ​each has its own unique character. A car is generally recommended.
I look forward to returning for the soothing ambience and warm friendships.​ ​ ​
Highly recommended!

So nice to have you with us yet again, Keith! You seem to have found the perfect spot for your Seduko and sunning on your own private patio - close to one of the pools, too! It seemed to us like you had just arrived when you announced that you were having to go home after only 3 months... Time has a tendency to go by quickly when you are pursuing the things that you most enjoy!
Since your departure, several new restaurants have opened in the area and new entertainment nights are being introduced. We seem to have a wealth of talented musician and singers here, which makes dining out a special experience here in our little corner of Paradise...
We are looking forward to your next visit - and so are your parrot friends, monkeys and other wildlife that still visit daily!

Spectacular!
Playa Flamingo is such a great destination and Villas Casa Loma in particular is the Best place to stay in the region. Within minutes you can chose to be on the beach, in a charming beach villiage, zip lining, surfing, hiking, horseback riding, or enjoying an aTV tour. The dining options in this area is incredible and the choices are many and varied and within minutes of VCL. You can reserve an entire villa, or just a suite of rooms, or bring all of your family and friends and take over the whole place like we did for Spring Break last year. I am a frequent visitor to Costa Rica and I highly recommend Villas Casa Loma to anyone planning a trip to the Guanacaste Region. Tom and Igor are incredibly dedicated to each and every guest and the lovely grounds and accomadations are proof of their love of Costa Rica and their "Paradise Retreat". Our family and friends keep returning year after year.

We so enjoyed your recent visit to VCL again, and thank you for sharing yet another birthday with us here, Andria... There are indeed a multitude of activities, dining experiences and natural wonders to see here in our little corner of Paradise... Recently a large family reunion was here and spent a month expoloring the area, deep sea sportfishing, kayaking, zip line, horseback riding, visiting rain forest preserves, volcanos, etc.... Like you, they realized that the possibilities are endless. These experiences keep bringing people like yourself back for more!... We appreciate your kind comments and look forward to your return... This is our 7th vacation trip to Villas Casa Loma.We keep returning back for the reason ,the staff management are incredible,the hospitality they show and caring for their tourists.Also we always have the quarantee weather ,never seen the rain in Playa Flamingo yet.The beatifull ocean moutain views are breathaking,exelent international cuisine,and beatifull beaches.Bozenka and Dominik.

Thank you for your kind words...We are all missing you here this year... Quite a few of your friends have returned and are asking where you are... We trust that next year will bring you both back here to our little corner of Paradise! ... Weather here has been predictably warm and wonderful., of course. Hardly a drop of rain here since early December ... We spent some hours recently watching whales splashing in the bay from the upper terrace. Spectacular! ...This season has been very exciting this year again, with superb entertainment at the restaurants and lots of activities both day and night... (Flamingo Beach continues to be in full swing.) ... We have several new restaurants that have opened in the area, so the choices for dining out are even broader... Of course, we are looking forward to seeing you both soon. Warmest regards from all of us here at Villas Casa Loma!

we truly enjoyed our time spent a villas casa loma..the location is beautiful, the sunsets magnificant, the villas lovely & our host, tom was fabulous, kind, informative & became a good friend..Dr. Igor was away most of our stay but we enjoyed the short time we were able to spend w/ him...highly recommend a vacation there...

Thank you, J & B ! ... We trust that you are both thawed out after your brief return North, and that the beaches of Fla. are living up to your expectations again... We have had a terrific year here, with lots of returning guest/friends, plus animal and birdlife! ... We now have the road to the back of our wildlife preserve opened up again, so one can easily walk for a couple of killometers into the forest... Olga the cat had 3 kittens, so more wildlife around now! ... We spotted several deer, coatimundis and numerous other beasts recently... This really is a little Paradise...One that we are happy to share with others!) ... Villas Casa Loma is situated on a gentle hillside offering fantastic vistas of the Ocean, Marina, hills and valleys of our private dry tropical forest reserve. Monkey, parrots, a wide variety of birds, wild cats, anteaters, turtles, coatimundi, pizotes, butterflies, hummingbirds call Villas Casa Loma their home.
After a restful night lulled by gentle sounds of waves, enjoy a refreshing cup of excellent Costa Rican coffee followed by a discovery walk around the grounds to discover a large varieties of tropical flowers, mangos, coconuts, papayas, bananas, limes, naranjas, mandarinas, guava and other tropical fruits. 'Finders, keepers!'
Getting around
Just 55 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR). We are located about 3 km. from Brasilito on the way to Flamingo Beach. At the Banco Nacional building drive 300 meters east - (direction of Potrero). First driveway on the right side. There is a large sign that reads: 'LOMAS FLAMINGO - VILLAS CASA LOMA' at the public road. Go up the paved driveway on your right side for approx. 150 meters & through a pair of gates. You have arrived. -The nearest beach, restaurants, banks, bars, are located within a10 minutes gentle walk - other restaurants, shops, etc. are located close by as well.There are several touring agencies close by. Bookings are easily made for land tours, boating, fishing, horseback riding, Canopy and ATV tours, etc.
