Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Beautiful Cabin
I have stayed at the Bunkhouse Cabin many times and I really enjoy the peace and quiet the place offers. The Cabin has excellent views of the Tongass Narrows plus a beautiful setting. The Bunkhouse Cabin is a great place for a romantic night with someone special and the Cabin offers a warm and clean place to rest and relax. I'm very fussy where I stay and this is the place for me many times I come to Ketchikan. Nicloe and Jim Church go out of their way to make sure you recieve the best stay.

Cozy luxury in Ketchikan
I have stayed many times in the bunkhouse over the past few years and never tire of it. It is separate from the Inn itself giving a sense of privacy and peacefulness. With the table, electric wall fireplace and kitchenette it has it all. The decor is charming and the native artwork note worthy. A beautiful view of the water and mountains across the water complete the picture. Close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants and shops.

How to get there
The Inn is 2.3 miles North of the airport ferry terminals in a safe, quiet, peaceful natural forest area. Turn left and head north when you leave the terminals. (If you turn right you will go downtown where the cruise ships are docked.) We are on the water side of the road, one mile past the stoplight at the Don King Rd turn off. Our buildings are gray with red trim. There is a small Black Bear on top of the mail box. We are three properties before the car wash. If you pass the car wash you have gone too far. The Inn has free off-street parking on site and additional free parking for RVs, boats and boat trailers near by. If you do not have a car, we are on the city bus route and cabs are readily available. Free Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Terminal and Airport Town Side Ferry Terminal pick up and drop-off is provided. It does need to be arranged for in advance. The Inn is on the water, just 4 miles North of downtown Ketchikan, in the Tongass National forest, midway between the Islands most popular attractions. It is just two and a half miles from Ward Lake and the areas finest hiking trails.
