Gilga Wine Farm is situated within Stellenbosch Hills just 5km from Stellenbosch town. Guests have wonderful views of the surrounding vineyards and the Helderberg mountains.
This stylishly furnished and well equipped home has a magnificent open plan kitchen with separate scullery, a dining area that is separated from the lounge with a fire place. The kitchen and lounge both have folding glass doors that open up onto patios. The main patio has a braai (BBQ) alongside an inviting swimming pool. There are 4 en suite bedrooms upstairs, all with airconditioning
Garaged parking is available for 2 vehicles and there is ample secure outdoor parking more more.
The farm is close to a number of golf courses, restaurants and an abundance of wine farms, making this an ideal venue for a golf and wine...

this is staggeringly beautiful
i am still here writing this review and i dont want to leave. It is amazing. I cant really adequately describe the house but its like walking into a Home and Garden article. The furnishings are awesome, the light in the house is fantastic and the surroundings are beautiful. Its just perfect. I want to take it all home with me! i cant recommend it highly enough- oh and you can buy wine here too!!

Dream home.
Myself and a group of friends stayed at Gilga Wine Farm for our final weekend in South Africa and we simply couldn't have stayed anywhere better.
The house was huge and stunningly designed, both architecturally - carefully taking into consideration the surrounding vineyard and the mountain views, and in the finer details - high quality finishes and quirky art pieces brought together beautifully.
I laid claim to the massive master bedroom - I did find the house after all - but when I snooped around the 3 remaining rooms they were all equally lovely and spacious with ample en-suite bathrooms. The outdoor area is ideal for alfresco dining and braaing or lounging on the soft couches. The pool is great for taking a quick dip - at any time of day or night - or simply for sitting in while enjoying many a glass of Gilga's own wine.
It's ideally situated for exploring the wine region and some of its world class restaurants but in all honesty you'll probably not want to leave the house - some of our party didn't!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful house to anyone, I'm very fortunate to have travelled a lot and stayed at many amazing places but for group accommodation this will stick in my mind for a long time as being one of the best. I cannot fault this dream home.
