Our 2 bedroom air conditioned groundfloor apartment with a walled terrace is absolutely ideal an comfortable for couples with young children and for more mature guests as it also has a lift servicing the garage space below. It can sleep 5 persons as a cot can be placed in the master bedroom. Edificio Aljamar is one of the most elegant privately gated complexes in the picturesque Moorish town of Nerja. Situated just a short walk from the large sandy Burriana Beach, amenities such as Spanish supermarkets are also nearby making it is an ideal location for use all of the year round. Our guests have commented that they especially like to sit on the terrace and admire the changing colourful and spectacular skylines as the sun goes down and the array of twinkling lights which feature on the properties which span the side of the mountains nearby. The private street inside the complex is an area where parking is not allowed making it safe for children to play and walk. The Communal Pool provides the opportunity for guests to swim and the sun bathing area is a dream spot for sun-worshipers. as stated above he sun falls on the apartment terrace early in the afternoon and here there is space for alfresco eating and sunbathing. For optional shade the terrace is fitted with two large awnings The small shared garden next to the apartment is also available to be enjoyed by our guests. Fitted wardrobes make good use of the bedroom space and our guests have always said that they found both the double bed and the two single beds comfortable. The lounge area (fitted with modern furniture including a sofa) provides a relaxation area and includes an American style kitchen fully equipped with all modern appliances. The bathroom is situated between the two bedrooms and is fitted with bath, shower and toilet. Air conditioning providing both cold and hot air is provided in the lounge and master bedroom. A point about the TV - this provides a range of channels including those from UK so in many ways this villa is an ideal place - a 'home from home' in the winter months. THIS APARTMENT OFFERS AN IDEAL CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAY AND THE CENTRE OF NERJA IS PARTICULARLY SAFE FOR PEDESTRIANS AS THE BEAUTIFUL AND HISTORIC CENTRE IS PROTECTED BY CONTROLLED BOLLARDS RESULTING IN NO UNAUTHORISED VEHICLES ENTERING. NERJA IS ALSO PROTECTED BY VISIBLE LOCAL AND NATIONAL POLICE. Whilst many of our guests have not found a car a necessity however it is recommended for those wishing to enjoy golf or visit the many interesting surrounding places such as the mountain village of Frigiliana, the Nerja Caves, Malaga or Granada and we can ensure that you obtain a competitive holiday car rental price from family member employee Pablo The bus stop is a short 3 minute walk away and travelling by bus is one of the most convenient ways of visiting central Nerja especially in July and August. We do also have two other properties in this Edificio - a villa sleeping 8 to 10 persons and another apartment sleeping 4 to 6 persons. For groups traveling together this is ideal but early booking is recommended for all our properties as they are very popular due to great TripAdvisor Reviews completed by previous guests. As direct owners we also own and rent a further apartment in Edificio Hawaii, Calle Canarias centre to the beaches and the town and also a newly constructed entral semi detached villa with private pool and own car parking space within the boundary of the private terrace and we can provide you with the links to all of these on request. The stand-out feature for this apartment is it's peaceful, green location, the close proximity to Burriana Beach. The location can provide you could wish for your holiday stay in Nerja which we honestly believe to be one of the best kept tourist secrets of Spain as the whole town and beaches remain unspoiled and free from high rise development blocks or partial construction. In summary we highly recommend this apartment as a very safe one for families with young children as it is secure; on the ground floor and has an elevator to the garage space below. It is also highly recommended for more mature guests with no steps to climb to the apartment. Many guests have commented that it is cosy and homely. FIBRE OPTIC WIFI IS PROVIDED AT THIS APARTMENT it is available for short term lets in the autumn to spring months and is an ideal property to rent for Christmas and the New year and Nerja centre is very safe for pedestrians too. At the commencement of your enquiry we will aim to rspond within 24 hours European time. My husband and I are the direct owners and as administrator I should be able to answer most questions. We would urge an early decision as our propeties are in great locations and are very popular. Once you have paid your deposit I will commence our internal confirmation which we are required to do by Andalucian law and I will be able to let you know the information required. We can offer to make the taxi airport transfers or put you in touch with Pablo for car hire. Once you have pad the balance we shall then be able to exchange communication details. On your arrival day if it is late you will be able to access the property using the keylock safe.

About the neighbourhood
Our apartment is directly owned and rented by ourselves and is closely situated near to Burriana Beach on the east side of the old Andalucian town of Nerja. We chose this location to purchase our property when it was built in 2003 as it is situated in a green belt area and provides a peaceful zone to relax and enjoy a holiday or longer stay. Many of our guests have describe it as a 'peaceful haven'. Being so near to the beach and shops, a hiring car is not absolutely essential but for those of you who wish to use our apartment as a base to tour then you would find this useful. The garage space in the apartment block garage is situated immediately below the apartment. The position of the sun was an important consideration when purchasing the apartment in 2003. Getting around
Our apartment has a car parking space in the apartment block garage immediately below the apartment This is a must if you are arriving with a car because car parking spaces are at a premium in Nerja especially in the high seasons. Also this means that your car is parked in the shade - another important consideration in the summer months. If you do not have a car then there is no problems as we can provide help with booking our regular local taxi driver team (Miguel or his son Javier) to assist you. There is also a bus stop within 2 mins walk of this Edificio. The local information pack contains a sheet on how to walk too and from Burriana beach and to the centre of town
