The cottage is in the heart of the historic market town, with the added bonus of a private parking space and often visitors spaces available (a must for Kirkby if you have a car) you can get out and about, or simply park the car and enjoy all that the town has to offer on foot, all within a short walk.
There are beautiful walks of all lengths and ability levels, straight from the front door, including the famous banks of the River Lune well known for inspiring the artist Turner and author Ruskin with the views.
The cottage is perfect for families, couples and groups of friends wanting to explore the sights of the beautiful Dales. Available for both short and weekly bookings. Sleeping 5 plus a cot, in either a double, twin and single room, or if you prefer we can convert the twin to a super king.
Digital freeview and freesat, a dvd player, radio's, and high speed Wi-Fi are all provided.

Home from Home
A perfect holiday home located in the centre of Kirby with parking outside the front door all in all amounts to everything one could ask of a holiday rental...Step inside and it really does tick all the boxes for comfort..quality fictures and fittings..the kitchen is a delight with pots and pans ranging through all requirments...as said it is home from home with nothing left to chance for the visitor.The property reflects the proud owners standerd and Sheila is available for any questions before and during stay..we had to move our booking several times due to lockdown but it was dealt with sympathetically...Can heartily recommend this home

Beautiful, well equipped cottage in fabulous location. Highly recommend.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Kirkby Lonsdale with its own private parking space the cottage is a minute's walk to the main street and it's wonderful shops. Beautifully decorated and sparkling clean with a cosy wood burner as well as central heating for winter breaks. Even nicer than the pictures on the cottage website. And just half an hour's drive from the coast. The owners go the extra mile to make this feel like a home and we hope to return.

A perfect break
The cottage was as near to a perfect home from home as you could get. Everything you need is there in the cottage, Sheila was the perfect host. The location was great, right in the center of the village , but off the Main Street so no passing noises. Lots of places to eat and drink and lots of local walks.

Jasmine Cottage, Kirkby Lonsdale
2nd time at this lovely cottage. Very comfortable sleeping 5 with it's own parking space and a nice private patio. Felt very safe with covid restrictions in place. Obviously the owner who is very friendly is taking great care.
For those who don't know Kirkby Lonsdale it is a beautiful small market town with lots of independent shops on the Western edge of the Yorkshire Dales and is in easy driving distance of the Lake District.
We shall definitely stay in this cottage again

Perfect getaway in fabulous location
Jasmine cottage is in a great location near all the amenities yet quiet. There is private parking which is very useful. The cottage is kept in fabulous condition and Shiela is always making improvements to keep modernising the property. There are some great independent shops and restaurants and also a good fish and chips takeaway and two Chinese takeaways, highly recommend.

Fantastic location, beatiful cottage.
Jasmine cottage is centrally located in Kirkby Lonsdale and has all amenities within easy walking distance. We have used it twice as a base for visiting Yorkshire Dales, North Lancs. and the Lake District, The cottage itself is well equipped, well maintained and perfect for four or five. Some very good pubs and eateries right on the doorstep. Would recommend unreservedly.

Excellent accommodation and a perfect position in a lovely location.
You could not be better placed in this lovely cottage which is central to all the amenities within minutes of the front door. The cottage was clean, comfy and cosy, with all home comforts supplied. The kitchen had ample utensils, although the knives could do with a sharpen (minor point, but worth making, I feel). Sheila was in touch to ensure all was well and could not have been any more helpful. Despite Storm Ciara raging around us, we found our week to be relaxing. Excellent shops abound, and in particular, the pork pies and steaks at the butcher were memorable. Great fish and chip shop, Indian Restaurant, excellent pubs and Booths. Who could want more? We will return!

Holiday at Jasmine Cottage, Kirkby Lonsdale
Jasmine Cottage is a superb place to stay, three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single bed. The cottage is superbly furnished and has all the mod cons you require for a nice holiday. Jasmine Cottage is situated in the middle of town but in a quiet location complete with a parking spot.
We like the location especially as its about a minutes walk to the Royal Barn which is a great venue for a drink during the day or evening. Booths supermarket is less than five minutes away by foot.
Normally we can drive to the Yorkshire Dales or Windermere in less than half an hour.

Kirkby Lonsdale has many local attractions such as St Mary’s church and Ruskin’s View painted by the local famous artist Turner and named after John Ruskin who described the view of the river Lune as One of the loveliest views in England. There are beautiful walks of all lengths and ability levels, straight from the front door. Kirkby Lonsdale offers a wonderful array of shops aimed at all ages and even a small Chocolate Mine which is perfect for children. Additionally there is the most fabulous choice of delightful tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. Whether you are looking for a traditional pub meal, a delicious homemade pizza, tapas, Indian or a small bite to eat the market town and its surrounding areas offer a vast amount of choice.Furthermore if you take a trip out of the town there are many places to visit such as Sizergh Castle, Levens Hall, Docker Park Farm and just 18 miles away is Windermere. Kirkby Lonsdale is an all year round holiday destination, and has an annual Victorian Day and Christmas Fair. Ideal for families and couples alike. It will appeal to walkers, cyclists, fishing enthusiasts, golfers and horse riders

You can easily walk around the town and straight from the door. Many beautiful areas are easily accessible by car. There are a number of buses to and through Kirkby Lonsdale. The nearest airport is Manchester International Airport, approx. 80 miles from Jasmine Cottage. A train can be taken directly from the airport to Oxenholme Station. Oxenholme Station is approx 10 miles from Jasmine Cottage. Blue Star Taxi is an accessible taxi firm which can be pre-booked.

The postcode for the satnav is LA6 2BP. We recommend that you take the second turning into Kirkby Lonsdale whether you are approaching from the East or the West on the A65. This will bring you via the roundabout and past Booths supermarket. Carry straight on and turn right at the T-junction. Then turn immediately left alongside the post office. There are a number of buses to and through Kirkby Lonsdale, these are: 81 Lancaster - Hornby - Kirkby Lonsdale. 567 Kendal - Kirkby Lonsdale. 567A Sedbergh - Kirkby Lonsdale (Thurs only). The nearest airport is Manchester International Airport, approx. 80 miles from Jasmine Cottage. A train can be taken directly from the airport to Oxenholme Station.
