Perfect getaway!
We have just returned from the most relaxing break at "Acorns". What a gem!
Joy is a great host with the reassurance of knowing she is nearby should you need her, with lots of little touches throughout the property to make it all the more comfortable.
We were lucky enough to hear Owls and Woodpeckers from the hot tub, and see wild deer in the field at the back - which really made our weekend.
We will be looking to book again for next years break!

Hedgehog Corner
A wonderful weekend spent in this excellent self catering accommodation a short distance from Lyme Regis. A very clean and comfortable apartment with the added bonus of a fabulous hot tub. Joy has thought of everything including flip flops, robes and slippers. We will totally recommend this to our friends and family.

The Acorns with Hot Tub 10/10
Just returned from a 2 night stay at The Acorns Hedgehog Corner. Wonderful accommodation with plenty of room and spotless interior. The Hot Tub is a lovely addition very relaxing.
Joy (the owner) is so friendly and helpful and to top it all Joy has thought of everything for your stay such lovely touches which make you feel so welcome. Joy is also very knowledgeable and informative of the area.
We enjoyed our stay so much we will definitely return in the future.
The Hunters Lodge Inn just up the road is a must for eating out, delicious food. Joy does supply a torch and hi vis jackets if you wish to walk to the pub as road has no footpaths and vehicles do speed. We decided to take the car. There are taxis also.

A wonderful place to stay in Lyme Regis
We booked this a year ago to spend our Ruby Wedding Anniversary but had to wait 12 months due to Covid. Well it was definitely worth the wait, Joy is a super host and welcomed us on arrival.
The apartment is spacious and has a large conservatory, it is very well appointed and spotlessly clean from top to bottom. The hot tub is great, we sat in the tub sipping Champagne one evening and it was a lovely clear night and the stars were out.
We would highly recommend Hedgehog corner and I am sure we will be back.

Perfect stay!
This was a fantastic place to stay, we went down for a long weekend break and came back so relaxed! Everything that you could possibly want was there, lovely and cosy feel. We felt very welcomed by Joy and are looking forward to returning!

Romantic weekend away.
Gorgeous weekend away at Hedgehog Corner near Lyme Regis to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Joy the owner was such a welcoming lovely lovely lady. Everything was immaculately clean. We had all we needed for a romantic stay away plus more. The hot tub and privacy was the perfect way to end the day. Lyme Regis is barely 10 mins drive away and the micro climate down there was great. Definitely going back next year.

Amazing place - a must stay!
Perfect location being so close to Lyme Regis. The apartment itself is amazing - very spacious, finished to a high standard and of course the wonderful hot tub! We were made to feel so welcome and the lightbox with our names gave it that extra special touch. Very reasonably priced. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Lots to see and do. The perfect place to stay for visiting River Cottage or Lyme Regis. On our doorstep is the sea side town of Lyme Regis is famous for fossil hunting. Experts take out fossil hunting walks from Lyme Regis and nearby Charmouth. Pretty beach huts on the historic Monmouth Beach at Lyme and an area of sandy beach by the historic Cobb. You can while away the hours in the old town of Lyme with its Mill and enchanting back streets full of fascinating shops including the Micro Brewery to the art Galleries. Lyme Regis is the perfect place for a family holiday. The area is a foodies paradise just 3 minutes drive away and TV chef Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's River Cottage for meals and events is just 3 minutes driveAt nearby Burton Bradstock a glorious beach with well known The Hive Beach Cafe.Lots to see and do for children several nearby seaside towns, the Dinosaur Museum, Beer Caves, Donkey Sanctury and Seaton Tram are just an example of the nearby local attractions. Plenty of holiday information at the property. Joy, your Host is contactable at Reception and is a true local and font of information. A congenial climate all year round and a great place for visiting with plenty to see and do all year around.

Taxi: book in advance: Terry’s Taxi Uplyme, Matt’s Cab Lyme Regis
Train station 5 minutes drive toAxminster, which links to city of Exeter (40 minutes on train) London 2.45 hours away.
Planes: Exeter Airport is 45 minutes drive from the property.

Acorns car parking in the main car park at top of drive. Bag drop for your ease by main house marked Reception. Any queries then please get in touch.Just 2.3 miles from Lyme Regis. Just over 1.6 miles from TVs River Cottage HQ. 3 hours drive from London.Hourly train service from London Waterloo to Axminster and then a 5 minute taxi ride or local bus X51 or X53 drops at pub at top of road. 2.5 miles from Axminster Train Station with a Bus Stop within walking distance (Number X51 and X53 from Axminster Train Station and Lyme Regis). No pavement between the property and pub or bus stop - we provide 2 luminous jackets for walk to pub. Exeter Airport 45 minutes drive - local taxi service can collect - details on request. Although a car is not necessary as we are just a short distance from both the Axminster Railway Station and local bus stop, it is recommended. Cars can be hired from Practical at Musbury.
