Staithes, North York Moors National Park, North Yorkshire, England
Featured on TV: Channel 4, Homes by the Sea. Dunsley, a romantic, self-catering cottage in Staithes, is a much-loved destination - many guests return each year. Judy and Duncan are delighted to have won the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, based on independent reviews from guests. They constantly strive to make Dunsley the best it can be; latest additions include a TV and sofa beside the open fire (in addition to the TV in the snug), chocolates by the bedside and fluffy bathrobes for guest use. Like many houses in the harbour-side village, Dunsley is a traditional fisherman's cottage. Where it differs, is the detail. While it retains all the original character - open fire, wooden floors, ship's mast beams - it has been beautifully renovated to include bespoke antique furniture, unique artwork and free broadband. It is light... Read more

We had a wonderful time at dunsley and will definitely be returning! The cottage was beautiful and cosy and a perfect spot for just parking up the car and forgetting the world for a while :-) Highlights not to be missed are Cleveland Corner Bistro, the sweet shop and obviously the stunning walks in either direction.
