Nestled at the foothills of the Long Mynd this cosy ex railway cottage makes a great base for relaxing or exploring this lovely area by foot, cycle or car with the towns of Church Stretton,,Shrewsbury and Ludlow within easy reach. Close enough to roads and towns for easy access but feels remote enough for a real sense of a countryside break. Church Stretton offers a range of food shopping with a Coop and independent delicatessens and butchers. Along with cafes and bistros to suit every pallette. The cottage is centrally heated and equipped to a high standard. Downstairs comprises a lounge, dining kitchen, small study area and a sunny conservatory at the rear of the house. Outside furniture for when the sun shines ! TV has basic SKY TV package. What a beautiful welcoming cottage!! Quinny cottage had everything we needed for the perfect retreat with friends. This is a lovely, bright cottage with the most comfy beds and great shower. Lots of games provided, books and Dvds. Lovely views and a choice of spaces...More

A wonderful and pretty, homely cottage where everything you need is to hand. The Railway Inn across the road is on your doorstep and the food is super. We will visit again, as we absolutely fell in love with Shropshire.

Really good, lived in cottage which suited us for our weekend away with friends. Good recommendation to book the pub across the road for a meal on Friday evening.

Very comfortable home from home. Lots of extras provided in the kitchen. Good selection of games and we enjoyed learning how to play "Shut the box" and it may well be that some of our families will be receiving it as a Christmas Present! Sadly,...More

The local town of Church Stretton is a base for shopping for locally produced foods. There is a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants serving great food for every pocket. Close by the National Trust's Cardingmill Valley offers a gateway for some great walks. It's a busy local community with plenty happening - further details are available at the tourist office. A selection of OSmaps of the area suggested walksand information pack of things to do and local attractions is available a the house Cycle hire centre close by at Mountain Edge resort
Getting around
Easy driving to lots of interesting places local towns of Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury Ludlow and Bishops Castle to name a few. Local 435 bus service stops at the bottom of the road for services to Shrewsbury and Ludlow Bit more adventurous? Try a day out on the Heart of Wales Railway from Craven Arms .
