There is a fan in the bedroom for warmer weather. It is a do nothing or do all holiday. We are usually around for help and advice - but generally you will be left in peace and quiet - the choice, of course, is yours.More

We are usually around if you need help or advice. None of the gardens are private - they are all yours. There is plenty of tourist literature in the sideboard and we are more than happy to tell you about favourite walks and places to visit. Do ask us if you need help with the best walks. . You have only to ring the front door bell. We will never disturb you - unless in an emergency so you can enjoy a peaceful holiday.

The decor is neutral. There are views over Church Stretton and hills from all windows. There is a large window where you can sit and enjoy the views in inclement weather. The lounge is large, 19 x 18 feet , fully carpeted, 2 recliner easy chairs with footrests, bookcases, tv radio cd and dvd player. The bedroom is fully carpeted 14 x 9 feet , twin beds with bedside tables and reading lights. Duvets on the beds but blankets in the airing cupboard if preferred. Linen and towels are provided. The en suite has a full bath with Mira power shower over. The heating is both gas and electric with radiators adjustable to suit and a fan is available for warmer weather. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, glasses, saucepans and a fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, full oven and grill., toaster, kettle, mixer, etc. No washing machine or tumble dryer in the let but the use of them is available if required.

There are 50 or so hobby clubs in Church Stretton and you would be welcome to visit some of them. Shuttle buses operate on to The Mynd and Much Wenlock and villages. .Ludlow and Shrewsbury both have live theatre and cinemas. There is a golf club on the hill, bowls, croquet and tennis courts are available in the centre of Church Stretton. There is also a leisure centre and a swimming pool. The library has internet access. The tourist office, ready to help you with sightseeing, is in the library. There is the MTB (mountain bikes) Outdoor Centre at Marshbrook (1 mile away) where cycles can be hired. (We have a lock up for cycles). There are many activities for visitors in the Mayfair Centre in the middle of the town, internet access, complementary therapists, (massages etc.) There are...
Getting around
There is a shuttle bus up and down the Mynd (mountain) from May onwards - operates weekends only There are buses to Shrewsbury and Ludlow and surrounding villages. The train station is 10 minutes walk away. Route is into Wales or Ludlow or Shrewsbury or Manchester. . There is a locked garage if you have bicycles. Well off road parking for your car, close to your accommodation.
