Oaks Lodge is popular for a mini-moon or anyone seeking a relaxing short break. TWO NIGHT PACKAGES (including £30 hot tub preparation and maintenance charge) from £352* with additional nights £120. *additional charge at weekend, bank holidays and peak seasons. Please use the 'Contact The Owner' option if the 'Book Your Stay' shows a higher charge as this can't be refunded after payment. Or for late deals please find Oaks Lodge on TripAdvisor and click 'Call Owner' to reveal mobile number to call or text Sara. One night stay at £185 is possible if there is a one night gap in the calendar or enquire about a Gift Voucher. Your luxury lodge is nestled in a 1/3 acre woodland dingle in the owners garden beneath a canopy of oak trees. Unwind in your Jacuzzi spa, surrounded by the natural beauty of mature oaks and the lodge's modern western red cedar cladding, whilst listening to the soothing background trickle of the stream as it meanders beneath you. Sit back and relax with an evening drink on the composite decking, warmed by the Burda electric heater, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and squirrels chasing each other around the branches of the oak trees. Oaks Lodge is accessed from a dedicated parking area by a gravel path (approximately 80m long) located along the lower level of the owners' secluded, tiered garden. As you walk along the pathway, lit by floor level LEDs, through carefully chosen shrubs and planted slopes and pass through a gateway of two magnificent oak trees, you gain your first glimpse of the lodge; the elevated balcony and front windows with the stream below flowing gently from the waterfall behind (except during periods of low rainfall). It's a truly unique, magical and private space and yet only a short walk into Church Stretton town offering a variety of independent specialist shops and a good selection of eateries and pubs/bars. After a day's activities you can retreat into your personal haven and relax. Oaks Lodge has been designed with luxury and pampering in mind, yet is offered with a realistic price tag. We want you to enjoy your stay with us, whether you are planning a romantic getaway or mini-moon, an activity break or simply some relaxing time to yourselves. From your elevated private balcony and hot tub, you can enjoy wonderful views, through the trees, of the Long Mynd and areas of the town. It's hard to believe that Oaks Lodge is only five minutes' walk away from the train station and a few minutes more into the centre of Church Stretton. It's this mix of seclusion yet close proximity to local amenities that really sets Oaks Lodge apart. We believe the little things make the biggest memories. Inside, we have striven to provide everything you might expect from a luxurious getaway: underfloor heating, a cosy flame-effect fire, a fully-equipped kitchen, powerful rain shower, super king bed and outdoor hot tub are just some of the touches that we believe will make your stay extra special. As we are a small, family run enterprise, we are always on hand to give you advice, if wanted and help, when needed. Our goal is to ensure that you have an unforgettable time at Oaks Lodge. We partner with GloPamper where you can book spa treatments to be taken at Oaks Lodge to make your stay even more special so please take a look. In more detail, Oaks Lodge is a luxury western red cedar lodge (gross internal area 45m2) tastefully furnished with an open-plan kitchen, dining area, lounge and bedroom zone, including:- - stylish lounge area with corner leather sofa, oak side tables and Gazco Studio 22 electric wall fire - 42” high definition flat screen television with YouView, access to online streaming players (including Netflix if you have an account), DVD/BlueRay player and wireless headphones (allowing one person to watch if another is sleeping) - premium Edifier R1280 bluetooth bookshelf speakers and DAB radio - modern kitchen with microwave, fridge (with small freezer), oven and grill, ceramic hob, extractor, wine fridge and a classic Wesco Kickmaster bin - peninsula breakfast bar with Ercol bar stool and separate oak dining table and chairs - sumptuous Hypnos Orthos Silk Superking (6ft wide) bed and hotel-grade topper assuring an unrivalled night's sleep - oak dressing table/desk and door opening to a Juliet balcony with a view of the waterfall (when rain has fallen!) - luxury bathroom with 1400 x 800 shower cubicle, rain shower, heated towel rail and private dressing area with open wardrobe and drawers - underfloor heating with Nest thermostat control (profiled between 17.5C and 20.5C) with separate zones for living area and bathroom/dressing area - outdoor deck with cedar privacy screens, up/down lights and rattan furniture and 2kW Burda heater on a 12/60 minute coin meter - hot tub with jets and underwater coloured LED lighting (note the tub is checked and cleaned daily) and two luxury cotton bathrobes - free WiFi and ethernet connections - the air is cycled and filtered inside the building to enhance air quality - roman blinds with blackout linings above all doors and windows create a cozy evening sanctuary - recently-installed gas fire pit (sadly no marshmallows or bbq as smoke/smells travel up the hill into neighbouring property) You'll find many things to do in and around the Church Stretton area without needing the car. For those exploring further afield, the train station is a five minute walk away. Train journeys to Shrewsbury and Ludlow take a little over 10 minutes offering sights, retail therapy and food experiences. Oaks Lodge is set in Sara and Mark's one acre garden shared with their three children and Burmese cats. They also run Larches Lodge which is set amongst the larch trees within the garden. Both our lodges are sumptuously equipped for a truly memorable stay. In consideration of neighbours there should be no outdoor music at any time and we kindly request that all noise is curtailed after 9pm at the latest (10pm Fri/Sat). Note that part of the firepit area is visible from an adjacent property further up the hill but various planting has been added on both sides - the balcony and hot tub is completely private. Please Note: There is quite a steep drive up to the property which can be a little strenuous for less energetic guests however, from the parking area there is a level 80m gravel path to Oaks (note the first 40m is shared with the access to Larches). The owners are happy to help if assistance is needed carrying luggage. Be aware that if the water is completely renewed in the hot tub on handover day, although we fill with warm water, it may take until early evening to reach 38C operating temperature. * Xmas/New Year weeks and public holiday weekends are charged more than our standard pricing.More

Thanks for being lovely guests and glad you had a relaxing stay. The chickens are an addition during lockdown - they are as you say an entertaining trio as they wander around the undergrowth. :-)
