There are lots of lovely walks from Withypool, including routes along the river to Tarr Steps and Landacre Bridge. The renowned Exmoor ponies can often been seen grazing on Withypool Common and, of course, Exmoor is famous for its red deer. This is a popular area for cyclists Horse riding over the moor is a fantastic experience. Lynton & Lynmouth are 16 miles away. The fabulous beaches of Croyde Bay, Putsborough & Woolacombe (50 minutes drive) are great for surfing and parts of Woolacombe beach are dog friendly throughout the year. The medieval village of Dunster is also a great day out. Withypool is lucky to have a shop, with a post office, the Withypool Tea Rooms and the Royal Oak pub - all just a short walk away. More
