Holiday Rental House
This spacious and elegant late Georgian house is perfect for a getaway with family and friends. The huge ground floor drawing room provides plenty of room for relaxing together with fire, lots of sofas, big TV and grand piano. All the bedrooms are spacious and we provide luxury bedding. There's a big deck with barbecue and a charming garden. The style is eclectic with a slightly eccentric art collection, masses of books, and a mixture of new and antique furniture. ...This spacious and elegant late Georgian house is perfect for a getaway with family and friends. About the neighbourhood
Tisbury has a vibrant high street with a wide range of excellent independent shops along with a Co-op, a small Boots and a Post Office. The Beckford Bottle Shop has an extensive stock of wines and is a lively wine bar on Thursday and Friday evenings. The Boot Inn is an 18th century traditional pub a few doors away, Ron and Ruth offer a warm welcome and an excellent pint. There are beautiful walks for all ages and abilities right from the front door - or you can enjoy the countryside views from the window seats in the house. There are lots of maps and walking routes in the house and brochures for local attractions and activities.
Getting around
The South Western Trains station is an eight minute walk from the house and offers half-hourly services to London and Exeter. There is a bus to Salisbury and to Shaftesbury, the bus-stop being just a few steps away. There are a couple of local cab firms but booking is essential - please contact us for details.
