Lochside Apartment is very proud to be the only accommodation in the Stewartry to hold a 5 star grading so as you would expect everything is to the highest standards. The Apartment was purposely built in 2010 because of their ideal location in the picturesque 'Food Town' of Castle Douglas and on the edge of Lochside Park giving stunning views over the park, Carlingwark Loch and the surrounding hills of Screel and Ben Gairn. <BR><BR>This making it the ideal location for families (small and large), walkers, golfers and bikers.

We stayed here for a long weekend for a birthday celebration, occupying both apartments. It was fantastic, absolutely everything, the accommodation, welcome pack, weather, all the shops in town , everything. A first class apartment and great value from friendly and supportive owner . Just what I needed as a base for my work while my family enjoyed the break. Come here ...it's great .

Andrew, the owner, was really helpful in allowing us to change out week in response to a family illness. The apartment was in first rate order and very well fitted out. Lovely view of park and loch. Even though not advertised there was actually good free wifi. Read the provided instructions to find the password!

The Apartment has a private drive with car park which leads to the front patio of the apartment. In the front patio you will find the bike store for those guests wishing to bring their own bikes. There is also a hose in case you need to wash your bike down after a hard day on the 7 Stanes trials. The BBQ and table and chairs are also in this patio which is an excellent place for a BBQ on a warm evening.<BR><BR>Ground floor - There are two well equipped bedrooms(each bedroom can be made up as a double with a super king size bed or as a twin with 2 single beds), both with wall mounted flat screen TVs and built in DVD players, vanity area, ipod docking alarm clocks and ample wardrobe and drawer space.
