Lesley met us at the sheep gate and led us inside this wonderful cottage. I have never rented such a well set up accommodation. Great kitchen, homey living area with fireplace, comfortable beds, deck to watch all the bird life, including resident pheasants, and an evening sunset view over the Rhinns of Kell. Near enough to Clachan pub in Dalry...

An amazing base to come back to after a day exploring the area with three young kiddies. Everything you could ever need has already been thought of and provided. It really is a 'home from home' with the added bonus of the most spectacular views!

Arriving to music playing, a warm cabin and Lesley with warm home baked loaf ! It is all the wee touches that make this the best holiday lodge or cottage which we have used. Not only children's bed linen for our grandson but children's towels and a toy box in his room. Comprehensive kitchen equipment and everything immaculate. Despite the...

About the neighbourhood
In the heart of Galloway's famous "Dark Skies" countryside this cabin / lodge is perfectly secluded and private within 1/3 acre woodland with outstanding views of the Rhinns of Galloway. There is ample private parking for 3 cars and ramp access. It is close to beaches, towns and villages and on the Southern Upland Way walking and cycling route. There are forests, castles, golf courses and lochs and it is perfect for hiking, bird watching, wildlife and dark skies stargazing. This is a wonderful, unspoilt part of the country but there is lots to do for all ages.
