Double and twin bedroom are colour co-ordinated and with new beds, for comfort, the duvets suit all seasons and guests requirements, from summer duvets up to 15 tog. For cooler nights there is also the added luxury of electric blankets. The family bathroom is bright and light and includes toilet, wash basin and bath with electric shower over.     I live locally, 1 mile from Achbeg so am nearby if you have any problems, you will receive my mobile number when you make a booking. We'll send you directions to find the house and I usually greet you at the house so we get to meet each other. In the event of any issues in the house while you are staying (which is rare) we have local electricians, plumbers and various other tradesmen we can call on.

    Beautiful situation but still easily accessible

    We found the cottage well equipped with everything we could possibly need.There was also a supply of excellent books and maps of local interest.

    Comfortable well equiped cottage in northern Highlands

    Cottage well located for excursions and exploring the beautiful Scottish coastal and mountain landscapes, as well as very close to Ullapool for shopping.

    Idyllic location

    Warm and cosy

    About the neighbourhood
    The West Coast has many stunning beaches, from the large flat unique stones of Ardmair beach 3 miles north of Ullapool and further afield the sandy expanse and dunes of Achnahaird. Also beautiful sandy beaches at Clactol, Achmelvich, Oldshoremore, Mellon Udrigle, Balnakeil and Sango Bay. There is a thriving music and arts scene in Ullapool and surrounding areas. During the summer you will find music every week at one of the bars or hotels and The Macphail Centre often stages opera, ballet, orchestras or touring theatre productions. Listen and watch the award winning Ullapool Pipe Band and highland dancers who perform weekly in the summer at the Calmac car park.
