Thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in Fishermans cottage. Lovely cosy accommodation with delightful decor. Plenty of room for 4 people plus our Staffy Diesel.The kitchen is well equipped for all your cooking requirements and the living room is perfect for relaxing after a long scenic walk. FURTHER DETAILS. We have an minimum charge of £250 for any stay. We ask for a 25% deposit on booking. The balance is due 8 weeks before. There is a £150 security deposit, which we will return within 14 days provided the parking permit is returned there are no breakages or damage. We can accept payments by cheque, but prefer a BACS or FASTER (internet) payment in GBP. We also have a PayPal facility, for which we charge 2.5% per transaction. A £25 booking fee applies to each booking.

About the neighbourhood
Originally, Barmouth was a tiny hamlet built almost entirely on the rock over-looking the river mouth and frequented by pirates. The sea receded, access improved and a small fishing and ship building industry grew. In the 19th. Century the railway came and Barmouth and almost immediately it embraced tourism and expanded.

Situated on the edge of the Snowdonia national, Barmouth was awarded the Green Coastline award for its clean beach environment and water. There is a great selection of shops eateries and pubs. The mountains for roaming are very close, plus numerous lakes and rivers close by. If you prefer a guided walk the annual walking festival at Barmouth held in September is popular every year.

Barmouth is easily accessible by road or rail from the Midlands, Northwest and South Wales.
There is a main line railway station just a few minutes walk from the house.

By road from the west head towards Dolgellau along the A494. When you get to Dolgellau pick up the signs to Porthmadog, then follow the road to Barmouth is signposted all the way.
When you arrive in Barmouth, head for the high street, turn left by the Aber Guest House (its a one way) then park up in the man carpark in front of you. The property is just to the left of the car park down a walkway. We will send guests a map.
