Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Bullants nest in bed
The “two bedroom house” is a small bungalow not a house. It is a stand alone unit with a large bed on the floor level and then three single mattresses lined up on the floor in a loft. It is a lot smaller than looks in the photos - about a third of the size.
Prior to arriving at the accomodation I messaged the host on wattsap to enquire about the arrival time and check in process. I received inappropriate messages back from them regarding how I look in my wattsap photo. These message did not stop until I advised them “these messages are making me uncomfortable please stop.” The response I received was “haha, sorry - it’s friendly notice only.” Very unsettling to receive when the host no doubt has a key and access to your accomodation.
When we initially arrived at the property only one of the above mentioned single mattresses had any linen / bedding on it. I messaged the owner asking for more bedding to cover all mattresses as they are joined and it is unhygienic to sleep next to or on uncovered mattresses. The response was “aren’t you a group of 3? There is a double bed downstairs.” I had to explain that my mother will sleep on the bed downstairs as she cannot get up the stairs, and two of us are upstairs so require all the beds made up. It is not unreasonable to expect all beds to be ready upon check in, especially when they are a joint bed. It would be similar to booking into a double room as a single and only having half a double bed prepared for you to sleep on.
The host tried to tell me that it is stated in the booking terms that only the number of people booked will determine how many beds are made up. This is totally untrue (I had to send them their booking policy). We booked a 2 bedroom house with a king bed in one room and three single beds in another. We therefore expected that our mother could sleep in one room (downstairs as she cannot get up the stairs) and we would sleep in the other. It is not for a host to dictate who sleeps where when a booking is made based on the number of beds.
In between two of the single mattresses in the loft was a bull ants nest, rendering the entire upstairs unusable. We did not notice this until two of us went upstairs to sleep and found all the beds swarming with bull ants. We therefore all had to cram into the downstairs bed for the night. It was hot, humid and incredibly uncomfortable.
We are Australian and therefore very used to all kinds of bugs, both dangerous and non-dangerous. We were not going to sleep in a bed with a red bull ants nest below it.
The host tried to tell us that it is our fault that the ants got in as they told us in a message to leave the outside lights on and all the bugs will go outside. However this is not accurate for ants as they are not attracted to light like other bugs. I did not find the hosts helpful or supportive in this matter, with them blaming us and the caretaker and taking no responsibility. Instead I had to contact booking.com for assistance and take the matter further. Ironically, if the host was more helpful and had better customer service we would have stayed at the property as it is easier than moving. They ended up ignoring our messages (evident as wattsap showed they were online minutes before multiple times and our messages from 2 hours earlier were not responded to).
In the end booking.com decided as no solution could be reached and the owner was not cooperating or responding that the remainder of the booking should be cancelled. Booking.com decided that it is fair that we should not pay for the nights accomodation based on the evening prior. We moved accomodation, and about an hour later the owner started sending me threatening messages (presumably they received notification that there would be no charge for the night prior or cancellation). They were demanding we pay, advising they will “meet us at the police station and take legal action.” The messages were very unsettling, and did not stop until I blocked their number. Again I had to contact booking.com to report this.
Overall, whilst the accomodation is in a nice peaceful location with a lovely garden, I would not recommend this property. Honestly, the hassle and stress that we encountered from the owner was not worth it. There are much nicer, cheaper alternatives in the area (I know this as we moved to one of them). Had the owner maintained professionalism and decent customer service the outcome would have been very different.

Best of the best for some one love nature ,beaches and peace of mind
with my Family I spent 2 nights in this lovely cottage. Though my prior intention was to spend 1 night here and 1 further down south , my kid was hell bent on staying all two nights in the same place because they loved the whole experience . Surrounding was full of all sort of birds, lizards, peacocks( big and small). They fully equipped kitchen is great addition to complete the experience if you like to cook your own meal. I have no hesitation recommending this place if you are some one think like me.
