When you arrive, our resident Villa Manager will welcome you and introduce our Chef and other staff members. He will discuss your sightseen preferences and explain historical landmarks, tourist attractions and arrange your transport to visit these attractions. Our Chef will eagerly explain you about exquisite authentic local delicacies, seafood specialities and international cuisines to get your preferences and taste.
The Villa Manager, resident Chef and housekeeping/waiting staff are available at your service, during your entire stay at our Villa.

Our stay at Royal Indigo was superb. The villa is beautifully appointed and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We only ate out once during our stay as the Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by the villa chef was delicious. An extremely enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

An Incredible Sri Lanka Villa experience!
My stay at the Royal Indigo Villa was absolutely amazing ! The villa itself is gorgeous and has a lovely overlook of the ocean with an amazing pool which we spent many hours in. The staff could not have been more welcoming and lovely towards us. The chef at the Villa, Prasanth, is an incredible chef and every meal he made for us was out of this world. I would highly recommend his chicken noodles, they were my favourite. The bedroom we stayed in was spotless and always kept at a lovely cool temperature which was amazing after a day out in the sun. All the facilities were incredible and well kept, leaving us feeling relaxed and happy for the entire duration of our stay. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Sri Lanka.

Exzellent stay with no wishes more 🤩
The room has a great view including a small private pool in the bathroom.
The service was great, we got everything we wanted.
Many possibilities to do other activities nearby.
In short: we were more than relaxed!

Fabulous family holidays in beautiful Villa right on the beach
It was absolutely fantastic to be at Royal Indigo Villa for our holidays. The layout of the rooms and common areas are very spacious and comfortable, the furnishings and the decor are beautiful, the infinity pool area and garden are just ridiculously fabulous.
The villa is situated right on the beautiful soft sand beach. It's going to be difficult figuring out which of the hundreds of photos to keep - it was truly an escape into luxurious villa on the beach, with a very talented private chef. We did manage to do some daily excursions to a safari, a turtle sanctuary, some local markets, a hidden secret beach, and a few beach bars into nearby towns.
The staff is also exceptional, very thoughtful and professional. We had a great team of the house manager, head butler, housekeeper, chef and security personnel. The owners are also incredibly responsive and diligent.
We were 6 adults and 2 teenagers. Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our week at the villa and are longingly looking at our pictures of the beautiful pool, sipping fabuous drinks, eating amazing local cuisine, and just relaxing. We highly recommend Royal Indigo Villa for a group of family and or friends staying together.

Fabuloso. Villa espectacular.
Villa impresionante! Todo preparado con mucho gusto y cariño. Los dueños son adorables, y te ayudaran en todo. El sitio es tranquilo y esta ubicado en la misma playa. No puedes disfrutar de un mejor amanecer y atardecer. Sin duda lo recomiendo al 100 %.

The Best Beach House
The villa is gorgeous. Everything is amazing including the staff. We had many plans to explore the island, but we ended up staying in the villa because it was an amazing experience. The Chef Prashan beats any restaurant in the area. We ate every meal in the villa. The food is so fresh and clean. Anything you want he can make.
Padmini is an amazing villa manager and took care of the logistics for us. If you need any excursion booked they donit for you. Shanaka can make any drink for you and is so sweet. They clean the villa everyday and helped with everything we needed. Thank You so much Prashan, Shanahan, Sunil, Jayanti, and Padmini for making our stay amazing and giving us the best vacation. See you next time!

Outstanding
We had the most wonderful stay at Royal Indigo Villa. From the moment we arrived at this beautiful spot in paradise, we were made so very welcome by the whole team. Just such a stunning place to relax and explore beautiful Sri Lanka from. In the very capable hands of Rocky, we have visited Galle, Unawatuna and Koggala. Surfing, Yoga and shopping all arranged by Rocky, for whom nothing is too much trouble. We were very privileged to have our marriage blessed by the Monk - a memory that will remain with us for the rest of our loves and all arranged perfectly by Rocky - including fireworks!! We enjoyed Pransanth's incredible cooking and endless menu ideas. (We would have liked to take him home:), Sunhil's quiet presence and beautiful flower designs, and felt safe and relaxed in the knowledge that Jayantha was present at night. Stue and Erandi, the hosts have created a luxurious yet homely experience at Royal Indigo, six star treatment and hospitality at its best. Thank you all so much for everything and your wonderful hospitality . We will, without doubt be back with the whole family. Our grateful thanks and fondest regards to you all. Idyllic luxury coastal Villa
We recently had a weeks stay at The Royal Indigo Villa and I have to say it was excellent. Rocky, the Villa manager, and his team could not do enough for us, Presanth, the chef, prepared some consistently delicious meals and Sonil ensured the villa was always perfectly presented. The villa is located right on the beach and is just a short Tuk-Tuk ride from Galle and other nearby sights. The villa itself is heaven, from the infinity pool to the luxurious bedrooms. We would have no hesitation in booking again.

Luxury by the ocean
Royal Indigo Villa would have to be one of the most luxurious and wonderful hotels that we have ever stayed in.
Situated in an ideal position directly on the beach, with the surf literally at the back fence, it is a truly idyllic place.
It features spacious well appointed rooms, We even had our own private plunge pool in our ensuite. The villa has an interesting design and has beautiful historic local pieces and artefacts scattered around which gives it a homely feel that you often don’t see in other hotels.
All of the staff are excellent. Welcoming and totally efficient. The manager Rocky was able to cater for anything we required, and has a very engaging and personable manner.
Having overnight security was an unexpected bonus.
Meals are beautiful and really well prepared. We really enjoyed traditional Sri Lankan meals, particularly the breakfasts. The special bar snacks were another highlight.
One of the best features without doubt was the sea water infinity pool, with the entertaining area and grassed lawn. We certainly spent plenty of time around there.
The Villa is situated in a perfect area. There are plenty of bars around, plus lots of local cultural places to check out nearby. Unawatuna Beach is a very short tuk tuk ride away, with Galle not much further.
We fully recommend staying at Royal Indigo. It’s perfect for a family retreat or a group of friends getaway. We would love to come again one day.

Beautiful shaded beach out front with surf and protected rock pools at low tide. Great for relaxing or enjoying a walk whilst sipping your feet in the warm Indian Ocean.
A beautiful paddy field walk to a clay kitchen is only a few minutes away to go and experience our culture and indulge in our traditional food.
A turtle hatchery is also around the corner for anyone who would like to release baby turtles or even just to look and take photos!
The Unawatuna beach is only a 5 min drive away, it is a famous beautiful beach great for relaxing, as the sun goes down the beach lights up with food, bars and some great music.
The famous Galle Fort is only a few minutes away as well as is the Galle main city!
Getting around
The most convenient way to get around is via a tuk tuk. We have our preferred drivers and will arrange them. Alternatively all types of vehicles with drivers can be arranged from cars , to minivans to mini buses.
Nearest train station is the Thalpe station which is a five minute walk.

The property is located near the Thalpe station or Talpe junction as the locals know it as. A new ring road freeway has just opened meaning that you can travel all the way from the airport by freeway to Galle in less than two hours. We can arrange transfers at reasonable prices
