The cabin lies above Highway 41 in the heart of the small town of Fish Camp, within easy reach of the world-renowned Yosemite Valley to the north and 20 minutes from Oakhurst and Bass Lake to the south. Lewis Creek, Wawona, and Chilnualna Falls are all just a few miles away. If you prefer hiking to driving, you can walk from the driveway straight onto trails to Big Creek, the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, Buffin Meadow, and Star Lakes. About the neighbourhood
Yosemite is only one of the many reasons to stay at Tree Top Cabin! Our cabin sits on the entry point to hundreds of miles of back country trails. With a proper 4-wheel drive or other off-road vehicle, you can explore beautiful high country lakes and meadows. Big Creek is virtually across the street and an easy walk. Or enjoy a lovely short hike to Tenaya Lodge for conferences or a relaxing dinner or drinks. Although a bit more strenuous, you can hike directly from the Cabin to the Mariposa grove of giant sequoias without encountering a paved road! Or take the short drive to Bass Lake and spend the day relaxing on a pontoon boat. The Nelder Grove of giant sequoias and the scenic Lewis Creek trail are also both within easy reach.
Getting around
Although a car is the first choice for independent sight seeing in the area, you can also access all main areas of Yosemite National Park using the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System (YARTS). In Fish Camp, the bus stops at Tenaya Lodge. During the high season, reservations may be required. Please visit the YARTS website for detailed schedules and fees.
