We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and were made to feel most welcome by our charming hosts. The accommodation had everything we needed, was spacious and comfortable. Morning deliveries of baguettes and croissants were a great start to the day and the nearby Canal de Bourgogne provided an ideal backdrop for an early run.
The surrounding countryside and villages offered picturesque walks, restaurants and caves for collecting good quality (not overly expensive) wines to bring home. Special mention must be made of Irancy in this respect.
The pool at the gite provided a welcome return for a swim in the warm (not too hot) afternoon sunshine.
Jester, the dog, was a welcome friend for our young son and for us. Nick, Annabella and their three children made us feel most welcome and we returned home relaxed and refreshed from our experience in this beautiful and quiet region of Burgundy.
