Our place is close to Durango's historic downtown (2 miles). You’ll love our place because of the peace & serenity you will enjoy on our 10 wooded acres and the adjacent 300-acre City Mtn Park. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, adults needing separate rooms, and families (with kids). Infants and small children (but not pets) are welcome. Continental breakfast is included in the guest suite fee. We opened on May 1, 2017. The queen mattress in the bedroom is new (and is the one Consumer Reports ranked #1). The double bed in the Sitting Room is a full air-on-coil mattress that is part of a foldout couch. The private bath (walk-in shower but no tub) is located between, and has access from, both the guest bedroom and the TV/Sitting room. Our house, including the guest suite, has a fire sprinkler system. Guest access Our 2-room suite is in an area that is separate from the space we use. Guests have separate exterior access to their suite. Our insurance requires that our kitchen is off limits (although the suite includes a mini-refrigerator & small Keurig coffee maker). Interaction with guests We live in our house full time. We will always be available to answer any questions and assist as needed. Your privacy will be respected at all times. The neighborhood The driveway to our house is 1,000 feet, and because our 10-acre lot is heavily wooded, our neighbors cannot see our house (or we, them). In short, you will enjoy complete seclusion. Getting around We are only two miles from the heart of downtown (Main & 9th Street). We have free parking next to our house. Other things to note While we charge for extra guests who use the foldout couch, there is no charge for use of the infant (pack-n-play) bed. Cleaning fee of $30 (per stay). Lodging taxes are 9.9%.
