There's also the Tolmen arts centre with its programme of performances and events with an interesting local museum. The cottage is a gentle walk to the picturesque Polweveral Creek, part of the famous Helford River. Note- Personal towels are not included but can be supplied at £4 per person for a hand and bath towel. Constantine is a gem of a place if you wish to experience Cornwall but away from the crowds, yet it's only 5 miles south-west of Falmouth with its famous harbour, wide range of eating places and glorious beaches, 7 miles from the historic market town of Helston and 10 miles from Porthleven with amongst other attractions, Rick Stein's bistro. Yet it's only 15 miles to the surfing beaches of St Ives Bay! Or you can simply walk from the cottage across fields down to the creek through tranquil Cornish countryside or along the many miles of public footpaths in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it a perfect location for walkers. A fifteen minute creekside drive will take you to the beach at Helford Passage on the Helford River and the renowned Ferryboat Inn. A regular bus service runs from Falmouth and Helston, so it's even possible to get here by public transport and leave your car at home. Walkers End has been fully renovated and tastefully modernized throughout in 2016, including all new heating and underfloor heating in the kitchen-dining room. Enter through the half glazed front door into the spacious tiled hallway with ample space for walking boots and coats. This leads into the cosy lounge with comfortable chairs and woodburner-effect electric fire in the chimney breast. A wide opening leads through into the well-equipped, bright and airy kitchen-dining room which includes electric fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer. Patio doors from the kitchen lead out to the courtyard, with a lockable garage for off-road parking or perfect if you are bringing your bike and need secure storage, or even for hanging your wetsuits to dry! A pathway leads round to the garden. Here you can sit out and enjoy the sounds of the birds and village life in the sunny south-facing lawned garden, with rural glimpses. Upstairs off the wide landing there is family bathroom with bath and electric shower over, first and second bedrooms and large airing cupboard. The front bedroom has single divan beds which can be zip-linked to provide a kingsize bed if requested at time of booking. The back bedroom, with a view of the historic church, has a traditional iron-framed double bed.More

Enjoyed our stay. Comfortable cottage well located in attractive village centrally placed to give reasonable access to Falmouth, Penzance, & S Ives. Everything provided. Bathroom a bit small but apart from that: Perfect.

Plus points - cottage is well fitted out if a bit plain and lacking local character. It is near a shop and local pub. Price is reasonable. Bad points - the outlook at the rear is dreadful with two shoddy garages in direct view from...More

The garage is available for use and the key is on the keyring. There are some things in the garage which I would move had I known you wanted to use it. The next door resident had no right to ask you not to park...More

Cottage is perfectly situated, with off-street parking. Constantine is a lovely little village, which is at least 15 mins off the beaten track, so it's very peaceful. Walkers End is comfy and well equipped and the owners can't do enough for you. We loved it.

About the neighbourhood
There are stunning creek side walks from the cottage and Constantine woods are a delight to walk in, particularly in bluebell season. The village of Constantine is set in the rural area of North Helford. The surrounding lanes wind through farmland with fields of glorious daffodils in the springtime. The award-winning gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are just beyond Helford Passage and around 2 miles away. Trebah is open all year round and Glendurgan from March till the end of October. Being set between the East and West coasts of the Lizard Peninsular provides the opportunity to explore some of the best and diverse coastline and beaches in Cornwall, while the calm, winding waters of the beautiful Helford River are a pleasure to explore on a boat or kayak. These can easily be hired at Helford Passage.
How to get there
Satnav will bring you to the property, put in TR11 5AG and it is number 24. From Truro take the A39 till you get to a large double roundabout called Treliever roundabout in front of the University, take the second exit off the first roundabout then the second smaller exit of the second roundabout marked Mabe Burnthouse. Continue along this residential road over a small roundabout until you came to a four way junction where you want to go straight on, its called Church Road and marked Mabe Church, Mawnan and Constantine. Follow this windy road for about 2 miles till you come up to a 4 way junction, stop than turn right, the sign will say Gweek and Constantine. There is another sign saying North Helford 40 Zone and a picture of a sailboat and a castle on it. Continue on this road for about ...
