Gorgeous villa with superb appointments! Completely renovated 3 bedroom 3 bath villa with no detail overlooked. This three bedroom upper level villa features solid surface counter tops, gourmet kitchen with high end appliances, tile, new furniture and much, much more! Lots of sleeping space with 1K, 1Q, 2F, 1DBL w/Trundle. Did we mention the view? Panoramic ocean views await.... Large pool for Shipwatch owners and guests with direct beach access and the pool is heated in winter months. Great for families and friends!!

It’s simple: DO NOT STAY AT THIS CONDO.
There are hundreds of others on Amelia Island. Do NOT choose this one. But if you insist, let me give you some advice…
Bring your own appliances! This condo has not been maintained. Here’s a list of the things that weren’t working when we got there, or stopped working while we were there:
Refrigerator: wasn’t cooling and all our food got warm
Freezer: all our food melted and the ice maker was broken. It also leaked water all over the kitchen floor.
Dryer: sounded like it was going to explode and we were honestly fearful it was a fire hazard. The vent hose was not even connected to the dryer. When maintenance came out to fix it, they said the vent needed cleaning because it looked like there was “a rainforest in there.”
Air conditioner: stopped working our last 2 days there.
Wi-Fi: does not work in any part of the house except the living area.
Dishwasher: it’s not installed correctly. When you pull a rack out, the whole thing comes tilting out of the wall. Safe.
2. Bring you’re own cleaning supplies! At a time when cleanliness is OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE, this place was beyond filthy. My family and I spent our first night cleaning, which is exactly what you want to do after a 10 hour drive. Honestly, if the rental company had told me that the unit had been accidentally skipped, I would've 100% believed them. There was hair everywhere. There was garbage in one of the showers. There were used towels under the sink in one of the bathrooms. You get the point.
3. Bring your own bedding! The comforters are disgusting. They’re torn and stained. We also had to change the sheets on 2 beds upon arrival because of what looked like blood stains. This was tough because the unit isn’t even equipped with the right size bedding.
4. Bring your own Wi-Fi hotspot! As mentioned before, the Wi-Fi only works in the living room.
5. Bring your allergy meds! The dust and grime on the furniture and the dust on the walls is surely to trigger an allergy attack. When we finally had the unit cleaned 48 HOURS AFTER WE CHECKED IN, the housekeeper confirmed to me that the unit had not been deep-cleaned in years because the owner won’t pay for it.
6. Bring your ear plugs! The one and only smoke alarm is located on the ceiling about 3 feet from the oven. So if you plan on cooking, you will set it off. Over. And over. And over again.
7. Bring your umbrella! There’s a leak coming from a light fixture in the ceiling in the kitchen. Not sure where it’s coming from but it’s a nice little treat.
8. Bring your slippers! You will not want your bare feet walking on the stained bedroom carpets.
9. Bring your own lightbulbs! There were 7 burned out. And not like in random lamps. Like overhead and bathroom vanity lights - things you actually use.
By the way, after being in quarantine for 4 months, we paid a small fortune to stay here for 3 weeks. We were constantly inconvenienced by the condition of the property and the maintenance appointments. We kindly requested a 10% refund on our stay, which the owner refused. So if you want to spend a lot of money on a dump owned by someone who just doesn’t care about the place or you, enjoy. You have been warned. Great view though!
