Boats are always having some sort of issues which we will address right away but don't be disappointed if something goes wrong or breaks during your stay. With the boat being on anchor it can get rollie and bumpy depending on weather if you think this might be an issue this is not for you.
Aurora is a 46 ft cruising sailboat set up for a full time liveaboard. Small freezer and refrigerator. Water and electricity need to be conserved and we provide 12 gallons per day which is enough for two people if you conserve. If you need more water, you can buy from local company or haul from land which we supply the jugs. Aurora is anchored on the west side of wisteria island and very close to the 100 old shipwreck which you can easily kayak over to the beach right in front of the shipwreck. If you rent the skiff, you can Easly tow the paddle boards over to the beach which is typically a lot calmer waters than at Aurora. You can see the paddle boards on the beach in our pictures. Please note that Aurora is anchored in a popular spot with other water sports company's and can have a lot of activity around. which can kick up the waves on busy days.
We do not charge a cleaning fee and ask our quests to leave the boat as they find it. With every new quest we provide new linens, spray bathrooms down with bleach and do a general wipe down on the boat. With the boat being on anchor it is hard to keep the boat immaculate clean and please be advise it probably won't be 100%.
Included with the rental are 2- Fishing Kayaks, 2 sets of snorkel gear, 2- standup paddle boards, K cup coffee maker with pods, Pantry stocked with condiments, all cooking utensils (propane stove and oven and propane barbeque) One set of new linens and towels provided per stay, Tv in saloon with a small selection of DVD movies on board. Small collection of games, cards, and dice, Two-person hammock.
There is air conditioning in the main sleeping cabin available during summer months which is used for sleeping at night or to escape the heat of the day to take a nap or watch a movie. The rest of the boat is only cooled by the ocean breeze which stays pretty comfortable but can get hot so if the heat is an issue this is not for you.
Getting back and forth to the boat.
We pay for one trip on Ship2Shore shuttle service on the day of your check in out to Aurora and we pay for one ride back into shore on your check out date for 2 people. Any additional rides you will have to book and purchase yourself. Shuttle rides are $27.50 per person with a minim of two people.
Check in time is for 3:00 pm which is a scheduled shuttle ride. Check ins later than 3:00 must be requested and approved of. Missed shuttle rides are nonrefundable to us and will have to be rescheduled by you for the following night if available and forfeiting any refunds of your Airbnb reservation.
You have the option to rent your own private 11 ft Boston Whaler skiff to come and go as you please the price is $180.00 per night booked. This is the best option if your comfortable operating a small boat which we will show and help you. Not only you can come and go as you please you can use the skiff to explore Key West Harbour, explore xmas tree island which has a nice beach, and you can snorkel a 100-year-old shipwreck right off the island, use it to fish or to go lobstering during season or go snorkel at different spots.
You are responsible for paying for dockage when you come to shore. Its $8.00 per day at The Bight dinghy dock.

Per USCG you are required to sign a bareboat rental agreement and you must comply with all laws for being on the water. No check in allowed without a signed bareboat agreement per federal law 24 hrs. before check in.
Boat is limited for two guests only. Any additional guests must be approved and there is an additional charge of $100.00 per guest over two.
