Little Gull is a small resort located 1 hour south of Tampa Florida on a key. This resort has access to Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is only accessible by the local resorts so it seems private. Unit 5 is a one bedroom condo available for rent during week 10 (Saturday to Saturday). This unit is located on beach side of resort so you are just steps away from ocean. It has a small deck to sit outside on and you do have views of the ocean. There is laundry facilities inside this unit. The pool and bay view with dock is located across the road but only steps away. A staff is onsite for any questions or issues.

There is a small shopping area within a block that includes an ice cream parlor, clothing shops, consignment shop and several restaurants. St. Armands Circle and Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is 5 miles away. A trolly travels the length of the key for a small fee.

Our family has been traveling to Little Gull Cottages since 1997 when our first child was born. Our three children have been all learned to swim in this pool. Since it is such a small resort (only 16 units) everything feels like your own. They provide everything you need to enjoy the stay so packing for a family of 5 is reasonable. We chose this property because the beach feels private since this resort is located in the middle of Longboat Key. There is no local traffic or public accesses in this area. The units have been renovated over the years so the resort feels just a new as the first time we stayed. The pull out coach is always used and is memory foam so is just as comfortable as the beds. There are no fees for towels or bikes.
Getting around
The grocery is within biking distance and a park within walking distance. There is a few shops just a few hundred feet away and an aquarium and St. Armands circle shopping a trolly ride away. So you can literally travel here and never get back into your vehicle. No need to buckle kids back into a vehicle to do something different.
