Cute waterfront home, with a bohemian island feel! This house is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom waterfront half duplex. There's a screened in porch, so you can relax in comfort on the water. There is 24' of dock space. There's a BBQ grill, 2 kayaks, Cable TV, WIFI, washer/dryer, and all the amenities of home. This is a waterfront property so you can bring your boat on vacation with you and relax! The house was undamaged in the hurricane and we have been hosting since shortly after. This is a non smoking property. There's enough space for 2 cars out front, or 1 trailer and 1 car. You're welcome to park your boat in the canal. We can accommodate up to a 24' boat on the dock. I try to supply, board games, books, beach blankets, beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels. These things tend to sprout legs and walk away though so I cannot 100% guarantee they will be there. The closest marina is 2 blocks away. They charge to put in/out or the closest public ramp is on 33rd street. In the event that there are pets, I will request an extra $50 cleaning fee. That's what the housekeeper charges me when she has to battle pet hair. There is a $20 boat fee to make up for the spike in water usage incurred. Note that there is no gate between the side yard and the dock. If you have little ones that are a falling hazard please be aware of this. For security reasons I will not disclose the address until a booking is confirmed. We are responsible for providing a safe, comfortable space, clean linens, and kitchen utensils. Any personal preferences (spices, coffee, breakfast) is the responsibility of the guest. -We are licensed for 6 guests, but 4 fit comfortably in beds. We have an air mattress that can fit 2 more. As long as the number of guests doesn't exceed 6, you can sleep however you want. There is a $20 charge per person after 4 (to make up for utilities usage). Please accurately reflect how many guests are staying in the booking request. - A $300 fine will be incurred if there is found to be smoking or unapproved pets on the property Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: #PLR2018-00107More

About the neighbourhood
What makes Marathon great is how centrally located it is. It's a wonderful location in the middle of the keys. An easy day trip south to Key West and also you can head an hour up north to check out Key Largo, or 20 minutes to Islamorada. The neighborhood is walkable for any essentials. It's a short walk to the movie theater, post office, grocery, and pharmacy. The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac and dead end canal. There's no through traffic on the street, and you can fall asleep to the sound of palm trees blowing in the wind!
Getting around
It is preferable to have a rental car so you can take day trips to peripheral islands.
